Tyler lays on his stomach wearing only his boxer briefs. Smiling, I crawl onto the bed and straddle him, sitting back on his butt. I rub my hands up his back before placing a kiss in the center. "Good morning."

Turning his body, he hooks his arm around me and pulls me down to the bed. I laugh as he hovers over me, putting one of his legs between mine. "Good morning." He replies.

"Well aren't you happy to see me." I say, rubbing my leg against the apex of his thighs.

He smiles. "I am, actually."

He leans in and kisses me. "Why'd you stop?" I whine.

He chuckles. "You're never satisfied, woman."

He goes beneath the blanket and parts my thighs. He trails kisses up the inside of my leg and I quickly sit up. We can't. Not now. "Not yet." I say.

He kneels in front of me and sighs. "I know." He glances at the clock then does a double-take. "Shit. I'm gonna be late for work."

After quickly kissing me, he collects his clothes and leaves. I take a shower then go downstairs for a look at the restaurant and bar. Matt is on the phone in front of the building. He holds up a finger, signaling for me to wait. "Okay. Let me know as soon as possible." He hangs up and smiles. "Did someone have a sleepover?"

I raise my eyebrows. "How would you know?"

"I seen that cute guy from last week leaving your apartment. Tyler, isn't it?"

"Nothing happened. I wouldn't allow it." I explain.

He crosses his arms. "Well why not?"

"Because I'm not sure if I'm ready and I want this to last."

"You have to let the past go, Mia. It will hold you back from committing if you don't." He says.

I quickly change the subject. "How is the place looking?"

He grins. "Great. They both look amazing. Come look."

It's so easy to get him off track. I follow him inside the restaurant and gasp. It's amazing. The place looks like an old fashioned diner like in the movies. I told him I thought it'd be cool to do this but I never imagined he'd actually do it. "This is amazing. How did you remember? I must've said that likes two years ago." I chuckle.

He smiles. "I know you better than you know yourself, Mia. I could spend the entire day reciting every word you've ever spoken."

"You're so sweet." I smile. "I want to see the bar now."

He takes me into the bar and once again, I'm astounded. The bar is along the left wall and the DJ booth is in the back. There are booths in the corners and small but tall tables around the room. There are colorful lights on the ceiling and mirrors lining the walls. Behind the bar, the shelves are fully stocked. The whole shelf is lit up, making the bottles stand out.

I'm so happy I could cry. I wrap my arms around him tightly. "I'm so excited. Thanks for agreeing to do this with me."

"It's nothing. You're gonna be the one doing all the hard work." He winks. "The grand opening to both places is tomorrow. I have already interviewed and hired works with the proper experiences and I have a ton of advertisements out, including a commercial."

I laugh. "You always go above and beyond, Matt. I love you."

"I love you too, baby girl." He says. "Which is why you're gonna invite Tyler tomorrow night so you can get laid."

My jaw drops. "Way to get to the point."

He pulls me over to the bar and tells me to sit. He circles the bar and pours two shots and fills two cups with beer. "You want it, you're just too stubborn to realize it."

I stare at the shot glass. "I know but he hurt me before. What'll stop him from doing it again?"

"You said it yourself, he's different." He says. "Talk to him about it and give him a chance."

"What about Alex?" I ask. "I'm not gonna have Tyler over while Alex is there." He smiles like the Grinch and I glare at him. "What'd you do?"

"I asked your parents to watch him for a few days because I needed your help with the business." He admits. "They were happy to."

I shake my head. "I don't know why my parents like you so much."

He chuckles. "Everybody loves me."

I sit there thinking for a moment. Tyler doesn't know about Alex. It isn't fair to keep it a secret but how am I supposed to tell him? "What about Alex? Tyler doesn't know about him."

"Just talk to him about being together and if he says he wants to be with you then tell him." He shrugs. "If he doesn't, then walk away and don't say anything. He'll find out eventually."

"Is that fair though?" I ask softly.

"Was what he did to you in high school fair?"

"Good point." I mutter.

"Well anyways, life isn't fair, sweetheart. Cheers."

Our glasses clink then we take our shots.

Picking up Alex, I spin him around then kiss him. "Hey, baby. Do you like your new room?"

"Yes." He replies with a smile.

He's so cute. I thank god every day that he looks like me for the most part. I place him back on the floor with his toys then sit next to him. "Mommy is gonna take you shopping soon so you can pick out some new toys. Okay?"

"Okay." He says, stacking the Lego's.

My phone rings in my pocket and I answer it. "Hello?"

"Hey." Tyler says. "I was just thinking about you. What are you doing?"

"Just at my place." I say, laying back on the floor. "Are you done working?"

"Yeah. Want me to grab us some dinner? I'll bring it over." He offers.

Biting my lip I glance at Alex. "I'm kind of busy right now." At least it's not a complete lie. "The restaurant and bar are opening tomorrow. It's gonna be fun. You should come."

"Would I get to spend the night with you afterwards?" He asks.

I smile, staring up at the ceiling. "Of course. I'll see you tomorrow then."

"See you then, sweetheart."
