★★★ Mia's P.O.V. ★★★

My heels click on the granite floors as Tyler and I walk hand in hand through the lobby towards the elevators. Before we can get there, a man dressed in hotel attire stops us. "Sorry to interrupt but I noticed the wedding dress. You're Mia, staying in the honeymoon suite right?"

I glance at Tyler in confusion. "Yeah, why? What's going on?"

"An older couple showed up looking for you hours ago. I explained that you were not in the building and they insisted on waiting." He says apologetically. "Would you like me to send them away?"

"Who is it?" I ask.

"They wouldn't give their names. I could arrange a private breakfast in the morning for all of you if you'd prefer." He suggests.

I shake my head. "I'd like to see them."

I rub my arms as I shiver from the cold hotel air. Noticing this, Tyler takes his tuxedo jacket off and drapes it over my shoulders. The man leads us to a couple in the main lobby who immediately stand upon our arrival. Based on their clothing I'd say they're rich but I've never seen them before. "Can I help you?"

"Christian." The man says, holding out his hand.

I raise my eyebrows as I shake the mans hand. Could it be Christian's parents? I never met them but I know he was named after his father. He hardly ever talked about his family. "Mia." I introduce myself. "This is my husband Tyler. What can I do for you?" I ask.

"I'm Leila. We're Christian's parents. We were at the trial and heard you had a child." She says. "We know he'll probably never know about us or Christian but we hate Christian for what he's done." Her eyes fill with tears. "We raised him to be a good boy - sent him to the best schools, gave him what he wanted, got him jobs and cars. I don't understand where we went wrong."

I bite my lip. "It was nothing you did. Christian chose to do what he did. It was a choice. It had nothing to do with how he was raised or what he was given."

"We don't want to keep you too long. Congratulations by the way." Leila says looking at my dress.

"Thank you." I reply softly.

"We just wanted to drop this off. It's something for our grandchild. Don't open it until you get to your room." Christian's father says. "Again, I am sorry for what our son has done and for all of the hurt he has caused you. I wish you and your family the best of luck."

He hands me a large manila envelope before they walk away. I look at Tyler who presses a soft kiss to my temple. "We have an early flight. Let's get some sleep."

"Sleeping is the last thing I want to do." I smile up at him.

He chuckles. "I thought I lost you for a minute. We need to sleep before we head to the airport."

"Or we could sleep on the plane." I suggest.

Shaking his head, he grabs my hand and leads me to the elevators. When we get to the room, I take off my dress and hang it over the chair. Standing in a slightly transparent white corset and matching panties, I tear into the envelope. Inside there is a note that reads:

To Mia:
No matter how hard I try, I could never take away the pain my son has caused you. Knowing that I have a grandchild excites me but my mind always wanders back to what my son has done and I hate him for it. We have cut off all contact with our son and are not supplying him with anything. What he has done is unforgivable and will not be tolerated in my family. In my eyes, he is no longer family. You deserve life. Enjoy it.
-Leila

Beneath it is a stack of money with a rubber band around it. Looking through it I see it's all hundreds. My jaw drops as I move to the next note.

For Alex:
I have set up a bank account for Alex as a college fund. There is enough money in it for him to go to any college he chooses and get supplies. This money is strictly for schooling and shall only be used by Alex. The money will become available to him on his eighteenth birthday. The account information is below.
-Christian Sr.

I glance at Tyler who reads over my shoulder. "What do we do with it?" I whisper.

He shrugs. "Put it away for when we need it, I guess."

"We should look in the card box." I suggest.

He grabs the card box as I climb to the top of the bed. We open the box and I dump it between us. Colorful envelopes fall out along with random hundred dollar bills. No doubt they're from Matt. I find a piece of the hotel paper loose with the money.

Mia,
I know you're going to get me drunk tonight so for every shot I take, I am putting a hundred dollar bill in here.
Love always,
Matt

I shake my head as I gather the money and put it on the nightstand. Tyler doesn't bother opening cards, he just watches me. "Do you realize what you're wearing?" He asks softly. I hum in response. "Do you understand that you're the girl of my dreams and I just married you?" I hum in response again, only this time with a smile on my face. "We haven't had sex in months and we're in bed, finally married, and with you wearing that."

"Yeah." I say softly.

Grabbing the cards, he throws them onto the nightstand. I chuckle as he grabs the backs of my thighs and pulls me down before kissing my neck. His nails bite into my skin and I feel the want, the need, in his kiss.
