"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Tears fill her eyes as I cup her face with both hands and kiss her with everything I have. People cheer around us but I don't care. She's mine and mine only. I don't let her go until I feel someone hug my leg. "Daddy! Mommy!"

Mia blushes as she wipes her lips quickly. I pick up Alex who looks handsome in his tuxedo. "Doesn't your mom look beautiful?" I ask Alex.

He grins, nodding. "Yes. You're beautiful mom."

Mia smiles. "Thank you baby. You look cute."

Alex shakes his head. "No. Grandma said I'm handsome."

Mia laughs. "Fine then. You're handsome."

I look around at the people who talk and take pictures. Mia wanted a small beach wedding so that's what we did. Mia had one of her cousins as her bridesmaid and Alexis, Steven's girlfriend, as her maid of honor. They've gotten really close over the last few months. Whenever one of them would get mad at me or Steven, they'd go to the other's house to blow off steam and get away from us.

My best man was Steven and Matt was my groomsman. She wanted a small wedding so that's what we had. Matt flew all of us to California and everyone is staying at Marcia's house.

The wedding was held outside on the patio of a huge hotel on the beach. So while we exchanged our vows, our guests could also see the ocean behind us. It was amazing. For the reception, we go into the hotel and get seated for dinner. "Let me take Alex so you guys can eat." Mia's mom says.

Mia and I each give him a kiss before she takes him away. We sit at a table and the waiters serve us immediately. "I have dreamed of this moment so many times." Mia says with a smile on her face.

"Was it how you imagined?" I ask.

"It's so much more." She says softly.

People begin tapping their silverware against their glasses and I grin at Mia. Leaning forward, my lips capture hers - my wife's. She is absolutely perfect.

After we finish eating we are taken to the table where our wedding cake waits. A medium sized marble cake decorated with vanilla frosting. Beside Mia is Alexis - her maid of honor - and beside me is Steven - my best man. Typically, the bride and groom smash cake in each others faces but Mia whined about her makeup being messed up. So we compromised.

The photographers capture us cutting into the cake and I smile at Mia before placing a kiss on her cheek. Once the cake is on the plate, Mia grins up at me. "Ready?" She whispers.

"Ready." I nod.

We each quickly pick up a small piece of the cake and smash it into Alexis's and Steven's face. Everyone laughs as they stare at us in surprise. Steven laughs first, pulling Alexis to him and kissing her. "I was not expecting that." Alexis pulls away chuckling.

I hand them napkins to clean their faces. "How does it taste?"

"Great." Steven says sarcastically with a big grin on his face.

People begin eating cake so Mia and I return to our seats with a plate. Dipping her finger in the frosting, Mia puts her finger between her lips and sucks the frosting off. Slowly, she removes her finger from her mouth. "Let's go somewhere." I whisper.

Slipping her hand onto my lap, she moves it to the apex of my thighs, feeling what she's done to me. "I'm not sure we'll be able to sneak away."

I glance around to see people finishing their cake. Our plans were to have our first dance half an hour after cutting the cake to give people time to eat but plans are about to change. Standing, I hold out my hand for her to take then lead her out onto the dance floor.

The DJ changes it to a All of Me by John Legend - Mia's choice - and we begin dancing slowly. I hold her close to me, staring down at her. "I've never wanted anything more than I want you."

She smiles. "Only because I didn't allow you to get into my pants whenever."

I shake my head. "I've always kind of liked you but the way I felt about you changed the night you gave yourself to me. It just took some time for me to realize that I loved you."

She gently kisses my jaw. "I love you too. I only wish we would've realized it sooner so I never would've went to college. I mean, I love this place and my family here but I hate remembering Christian."

The song comes to an end and our guests begin clapping. I take a moment to cup her face in my hands. "If you would've stayed, I probably wouldn't have realized that I loved you. They say you don't realize what you have until it's gone. We can't change the past but we can better our future. You may hate Christian - so do I, I want to fucking kill him - but he gave you Alex. So forget about the past and think our our future."

Her eyes fill with tears. "God, I love you."

Wrapping her arms around my neck, she presses her lips against mine. Just as her tongue dips into my mouth, I am pulled away from her. "As her father, I demand the second dance."

Mia sends me an apologetic look before taking her father's hands for a dance. My mother joins me for a dance but I can't take my eyes off of my wife. "You look upset. No one should be upset on their wedding day." She states. "What's wrong?"

Sighing, I finally look at my mother. "I just want a minute alone with her. So we can talk, you know. With everyone always around its hard to get a minute to ourselves."

Frowning, she tilts her head to the side. "Are you forgetting that you have the rest of your life alone with that woman?"

I groan. "I understand that but I just want to be with her for a minute."

She hesitantly bites her lip. "Give me ten minutes. I'll get her onto the bus alone."

(QUESTION: Do you love weddings as much as I do? The most recent one for me was July 2nd of 2016. My cousin got married and him and his wife actually smashed the cake in the maid of honors and the best mans face. They had a photo-booth and an open bar. It was definitely a night to member.)
