Worst. Two weeks. Ever.

If you have had a couple of bad days in a row lately, I would be glad to step aside and let you have a taste of what I have been through.

Starvation. Fairy-zation. Getting captured by a maniac is enough, but no! I had to be the one human who looked like that maniac's queen and is now beside her on a metal table with needles and knives poked at us. I don't normally cry. But I was, and for a reason.

If you have ever been in the face of danger and possibly death, you would be feeling like crap, but I was even worse. I felt like I was dying multiple times, on the inside. I sort of wished that Gideon would kill me now so I wouldn't have to feel anymore of death than a normal teenage girl should ever feel in her lifetime.

I had witnessed Nathan's horrible fate, and now, it might be mine.

My body shook as I cried silently next to Quinn. I couldn't see anything through my tears, but I could tell that Quinn didn't look at me anymore. She had apologized, but I could never forgive what she did to me. She had practically murdered me over the two weeks I had been here. I stopped crying and just tried to breath. Finally, Quinn looked back at me. She opened her mouth, but I cut her off.

"Don't you dare say that you were going to come back here. I know that you were going to stay in my world forever, so don't say that you were going to come back. You would have stranded me here."

"I was just going to say that I was sorry. I didn't know if you heard me the first time." She replied.

"Don't say that either. This is unforgivable. If I die today, it's because of you." I said, tears still rolling down my cheek.

"Would you stop your chit chat?" Gideon yelled, not looking back at us as he was getting something ready on the metal table away from us. "Teenagers are so talkative."

There was a moment's silence, then Quinn opened her mouth again and whispered to me.

"I know it's unforgivable, but if it helps, your friends miss you." She said.

"It doesn't help, thank you." I narrowed my eyes at her and looked away.

"Alright already!" Gideon yelled. "Don't make me cover your mouths with duct tape!" He came over to us and took both of the tables that we were on in either hand, rolling them around the floor of the cave. Once putting both of us away from each other, he pressed a button on both of the tables and we suddenly started to sit up on the tables as the surfaces moved up. It was like we were now strapped to a wall. I didn't look at either Quinn or Gideon. I would bet that Nathan would be more company than I wanted from either of them.

Gideon took what he was getting ready and came over to me. Pushing away some of my hair, he went behind my neck and pierced something into it.

"There." He said, removing the needle.

"What was that?" I asked, wincing at the pain. I noticed that Quinn did it too.

"That is to keep you alive for what I'm about to test. Quinn can withstand it, but your human half can't."

"What are you about to do?" Quinn asked this time. She was now my least favorite person in the world.

"Great question, Quinn." Gideon replied.

"It's Queen Quinn!" She yelled.

"Not according to Zoe. As of right now, Zoe is Queen Quinn." Gideon said, pointing to me. My neck started to burn a little. "I'm going to test how you react to heat and how Zoe reacts to heat."

"And how do you plan to do that?" I demanded. Gideon laughed.

"You girls are so clueless. if you would stop asking questions, you might have a chance to live longer. I'm going to create heat by Quinn's powers." Gideon said.

Quinn ignored Gideon's threat and asked another question.

"How are you supposed to make me use my powers when Zoe and I both get shocked when we do?"

"I never said that I couldn't." Gideon said. Both Quinn and I looked at each other with the same confusion as we both felt. Gideon laughed again and grabbed something behind him. "Remember the thing that I put in each of your necks? That controls your powers so you can't use them and I can."

Gideon pressed a button on the thing that he grabbed behind him, and I instantly looked over to Quinn. Her body stiffened and her eyes started to glow. Quinn's fingers flexed out and heat waves expelled from her hands. The heat traveled over to me very slowly. Suddenly, it hit my ankle.

I screamed.

The waves of heat rushed over my body as Quinn's magic took over it. My body sweat, my hair singed, and I screamed as hard as I could. Gideon let go of the button and Quinn relaxed, her entire body dropping so that she was hanging from the table by her wrists and ankles. Gideon made notes on his pad of paper. I looked over at Quinn. She was panting hard. I wonder what it felt like to be her.

Unfortunately, I didn't have to wonder for long.

Gideon turned back to us and pressed another button. My body became as stiff as steel, I couldn't move except for the fact that my fingers flexed outward. I felt like I was bleeding through the tips of my fingernails, all of the blood from my body rushing out of them. I didn't breath, for fear that that would escape from them too. My lungs burned for air just as I heard a loud scream next to me. I also heard another click, and my body relaxed. I fell from where I hung.

"Interesting. If one of you is using your powers, the other feels it while you don't." Gideon said out loud as he wrote it down on his paper.

"Too bad that you don't have your own powers." I heard Quinn say as I caught my breath.

"What was that, young princess?" Gideon said, clearly angry now.

"I said that you're as weak as a butterfly. You don't deserve our powers, and you don't deserve to be a fairy. You're lucky that you even have wings. If it were up to me, I would have chosen for you to be nothing at all."

"Oh, right, right. Because Princess Quinn is always right. Gideon, Quinn wants this. Gideon, Quinn wants that. Gideon, Quinn is right. Right right right! Well for once you are wrong! You should have stayed here and taken your punishment like a real fairy. Instead, you bring a mindless human into it."

I would kill him for that. Nobody calls me mindless.

Quinn kept at it.

"I was never right, and I was almost always wrong. I was wrong to think that you would be a good little servant and act like you SHOULD!" Quinn screamed.

I saw Gideon pick up a knife from behind him, but I didn't see Quinn react.

"Quinn, calm do-"I tried to warn her, but Gideon once again pointed at me and cut me off.

"You still have no right to speak!" He yelled at me. I backed off and leaned against my table. If he wanted to kill Quinn, fine. It would put me out of my misery as well since I would die too.

Once again, Quinn kept on.

"And furthermore, I-"

"You what? I am so sick of your demands, Quinn! NOW I'M IN CHARGE! YOU LISTEN TO ME!" Gideon cut her off as well.

"NEVER!" Quinn screamed as loud as she could.

Gideon charged, knife in hand. With a stabbing position, he came close to Quinn's throat, before something stopped him. Something had grabbed his hand. I saw Quinn's eyes grow wide, but I couldn't see anything since the object was behind Gideon from where I was. I looked at Gideon's wrist. A hand was on it.

"Nathan?" Quinn whispered.
