I gathered my stuff into my bag, preparing for the interview that I was about to go to. It had taken me a while to find something that I would like to do, so I wanted to make sure that this interview went well. I recited the answers that I had prepared as I fixed my bun for the tenth time that morning, clipping the remaining strands of my hair back so that I looked as professional as possible.

I pulled on my shoes in a rush as I glanced at my watch. ShitI needed to speed up if I was going to be on time. I took one last look in the mirror before heading down the stairs, as fast as I could without falling in my heels. I walked into the kitchen to give Louis a kiss before I left, and a pang of guilt hit me when I saw that he had prepared breakfast for me. Any other morning, I would have been delighted and started eating straight away, but this time, I really had to go.

"I'm so sorry, Louis," I said, biting my lip, "But I can't have breakfast with you this morning, I'm going to be late for my interview."

His smile never faltered, however, and he was quick to come up with a smart remark.

"Good," he grinned, "Because I didn't cook you any. This is all for me."

I gave him a look and he chuckled.

"No, but really," he said, rubbing my arm up and down, "It's fine. Go get 'em, tiger!"

He gave my backside a firm 'smack' as he said the last few words, and I would have scolded him if I had had the time. Instead, I slapped his hand playfully and scurried out the door, grabbing his car keys. I hoped he wouldn't mind, but I presumed that he had already known that I was taking his car. I mean, there wasn't exactly any other way for me to get into the town, and he wasn't ready to drive me.

I hadn't driven his car before, so the quietness of the engine as I started it surprised me slightly, in contrast to my Fiesta. I carefully eased off of the clutch and pushed on the accelerator slightly, attempting to start moving. The revs built up and I took my foot off the clutch completely, expecting to take off. Apparently, I had been expecting too much. I cursed loudly as the car chugged repeatedly before cutting out completely, leaving me no more than 10 metres from where I had been one minute ago.

I started the car again, now in more of a rush than ever. This time, thankfully, I was successful and the car glided out of the driveway. As I drove, I couldn't help but enjoy the smoothness of the car as it travelled along the roads. I would definitely drive Louis' care more often.

I pulled up outside the building that the interview was being hosted in, putting the car into neutral and lifting the handbrake up completely. Thankfully, it stopped in one piece. It would have been very embarrassing if it hadn't, considering that it wouldn't make a very good first impression if the employers were to see it.

I stepped out and tried to remain calm as I noticed that everyone was looking at me. I hadn't realised at the time that it was because I had just gotten out of a sleek, brand new Audi TT at the mere age of 18. I'd never seen such ayoung person driving a car like that before, and I was pretty sure they hadn't either. Until they saw me.

My heels clicked against the stone ground as I made my way into the building, running over what I was going to say for one last time. As I pushed open the large doors, it appeared that I was just in time. There were a number of people sitting in the chairs around the edges of the room, and a young lady in a trouser suit was standing at the top of it, holding a clip-board.

"Trinity Collins?" she called, for what I was almost sure wasn't the first-time, as people were looking around the room in confusion.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself, before speaking up in what I hoped was a confident tone.

"That's me," I said, as every head turned to look at me once again.

The girl looked up from her clip-board and smiled, beckoning for me to come into a room at the back with her.

"You're up," she grinned, and it made me relax slightly.

The interview had passed quickly, the interviewer making me feel welcome. It was an interview for a medical company. Of course, I wasn't applying for any of the technical or important jobs, I just wanted a job in the research end, as I had an interest in biology and chemistry throughout school. Unfortunately, the fact that I hadn't gone to Uni yet was a huge disadvantage and made it impossible for them to give me the job.

The lady was extremely kind, though, and recommended another job placement down the street that had less requirements, with a similar type of job. I thanked her genuinely before walking back out to the car, sighing slightly,. I should have known that I wasn't going to get the job with no graduate degree. I could only hope that the lady was right and that the other business would give me the job. She had informed me that it wasn't an open interview, only people that were recommended could attain an interview, bt she promised to put in a good word for me and pull some strings, which I couldn't have appreciated any more than I did.

When I arrived back at the house, I got out of the car, carefully checking to see if I had scratched or damaged the car in any way. I let out a relieved breath when my search was all-clear. I was pretty sure that the car meant an unbelievable amount to Louis, and I wouldn't want to have to break the news to him that I had scratched it.

I negotiated the path up to the house carefully in my heels, opening the door slowly. Apparently, Louis had been heard my arrival, as he was stood there with an expectant expression on his face. I shook my head slowly, indicating that I hadn't gotten the job. His face fell and he opened his arms wide. I smiled slightly and walked towards him, feeling his arms close around me.

I breathed in the familiar scent of his cologne and felt the material of his t-shirt brush against my face, and all of my sadness seemed to evaporate, consumed by content. I suddenly felt giddy, and reached around, giving him a sharp jab in the side. He jumped away from my touch and let out an 'oomf'' before narrowing his eyes at me.

I let out a small shriek, knowing that I was in trouble, and took off towards the sitting room. I ran in, immediately standing on the far side of the coffee table. He came in and stoo at the opposite end and began to run towards me. We ran in a circle around the table a few times, before I gave up and dived onto the couch for cover, praying that he wouldn't tickle me.

I was stupid to think that he wouldn't, and almost five minutes later, I was out of breath and gaeve up fighting. He stopped tickling me and pulled me into his chest, nestling my head under his chin.

"I'm sorry about the interview," he murmured soothingly, stroking my hair. I attempted to shrug my shoulders, but was stopped by the confines of his strong arms.

"S'okay," I replied, instead.

There were a few minutes of comfortable silence, the rhythmical sound of our breathing the only noise, until Louis spoke up once more.

"My car's alright, though, isn't it?" he asked, half accusingly and half nervously, and I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
