Chapter 31

Luke's Point of view

After dinner and the campfire I went back to my cabin and got ready for bed. I really wasn't sure what to make of the conversation with Annabeth earlier. It sounded like she was telling the truth, but it was just hard to believe when she looked to be in her twenties. I suppose she could be partial immortal like the hunters, but obviously I don't know for sure.

It was weird to hear that she used to date my dad, and that she might still have feelings for him. She had apologized for attacking us, but I'm still not sure if I can trust her. I was still thinking about all that when I went to bed, and like most other nights I dreamed.

In my dream it looked I was in an abandoned warehouse, the place was dark but I made out two figures. Based on their height and what they were wearing I would guess that they are Titans. One said to the other, "You and Anastasius will attack tomorrow night, the heroes will be overwhelmed by the size of our forces, and they will fall easily."

 The other titan spoke he asked, "But Lord Kronos, what if Perseus helps them again?"

 "Anastasius will keep him busy while you take care of any heroes who are foolish enough to challenge you,"Kronos replied.

 "Of course Lord Kronos." the second titan replied.

It was at that point that I woke up, I knew that I would have to tell Chiron and the others about that dream, especially since our enemies would be attacking tomorrow night. One thing seemed odd about it, though, Kronos had mentioned another name, Anastasius, My mom had told me all the Greek myths that she knew, well stories would probably be the better word, and  the only person I could remember with that name was a Greek king, and if I remember correctly he was a half decent guy compared to some other Greek kings. this left me confused, but obviously, we would find out who the titan was talking about soon enough.

That was when I felt even more uneasy, Scooter had said that Tartarus would have used the energy from Piper and Persephone to create two new giants, had he somehow still succeeded even though we had rescued them? Was that name the name of one of the newest giants? Either way, Chiron, the camp, and the gods need to know about it, because we will have to fight this battle and protect the new Yorkers from harm. We cannot let Tartarus win if he does life would be a living, well Tartarus.

I decided to wait till morning to tell them, though because we really couldn't do anything until then anyway. I couldn't help but wonder if we would get any help from the gods. They would have to help us defeat any giants that showed up, but other than that would they help at all? I figured my dad would but would any of the others? I got the feeling that we would need their help, though, and not just for the giants.

Once I got my whirling thoughts under control I managed to fall into an uneasy sleep. Thankfully I didn't have any more dreams. I woke up early and went to find Chiron when I found him I told him about the dream, when I mentioned the unfamiliar name he also looked puzzled, he didn't really give me any idea of who he thought it would be, though. After this I went to breakfast, I sacrificed some food to my dad and then once we finished Chiron called us to a war council.

The meeting was short we knew that this battle would be fought in the city, we had been told by Annabeth that Tartarus's next target would be Olympus and we couldn't let him get to it.

 "It's the Second Titan war all over again," Nico complained.

 Will Solace nodded in agreement. I didn't know that much about the Second Titan war but I had heard some things from the older campers and a little from my dad.

Two Romans were also at the meeting since the Romans had sent a group of veterans to help us and Hermes had transported them here since if they traveled any other way it would take too long for them to get here. The two Romans who were leading the group were Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque.

I heard that they were also great heroes and I had heard some things about the second giant war but not that much. I knew enough to know that they were part of the quest that had led to the giant's defeat. But now we were facing the giants and titans again both in the same war. Not to mention Tartarus one of the most powerful beings in existence.

This was not going to be easy we would need all the help we can get to win this. After the meeting, we began preparing for the fight that was to come. I hoped that the gods would be helping us because I was pretty sure that we would need it. I couldn't help but wonder how the fight could take place in the city when the streets sidewalks and buildings would be clogged with mortals.

sure they wouldn't be able to figure out what's going on, and they can't be hurt by celestial bronze but I'm pretty sure that they could still get in the way and that they would definitely be freaked out when they don't know what's going on. Hopefully, the gods have a plan for that.
