Percy's point of view
After we had finally defeated Anastasius with Luke and Jason's help we talked for a minute before I said to Jason, "We should probably head back, I'm sure your dad will love to hear that I have powers that he didn't know about." After I said that Jason and my dad chuckled knowing full well that Zeus would not be happy to hear about those powers.
My dad was the first one to leave. After he was gone I turned to Luke and Jason and asked "are either of you hurt?" Jason shrugged and said "a few minor cuts and bruises, but nothing major." Luke said "Same, I didn't run into anything I couldn't handle. I did run into a couple of your old enemies though." "Which ones?" I asked because seriously I made quite a few enemies back then.
Luke answered "Medusa's sisters, they still have a grudge against you for killing her." "Jeez those two hold a grudge longer than Nico." I commented Luke said "wait do you mean Nico di Angelo? What does he have a grudge against you for?" I answered "Yes I mean Nico di Angelo, and he doesn't anymore but he used to. He got past it." once again I said "we'd better get back, we can talk later." Jason nodded and headed to where he had left tempest, and I teleported back with Luke, I wanted to talk with him and Jason more later, but right now we have a meeting to attend.
Once we got back all the leaders gathered to discuss the battles that had just finished. This group included the Olympian council except for Hestia, she had stayed on Olympus. Like she had told me during the second titan war, she wasn't really one for violence, and someone needs to keep the home fires burning even when times are dark. Chiron, The Cabin Councillors for camp half-blood, and Jason, Frank, Hazel, and Thalia were also there for the meeting.
We discussed all the battles that had taken place and then Zeus said "Perseus, I was informed that some unexpected events occurred during the battle on the 59th street Bridge. I was told that some of our own forces turned on each other but only moments later went back to fighting the monsters as if nothing happened. What exactly happened?"
So I started from the beginning I explained how I had started out helping the demigods by taking out the more powerful monsters, but that I eventually noticed the Titan and the giant, and how I had chosen to face the giant, since an experienced demigod could take on a titan, and since Jason was leading the demigods I figured that he would be able to take on the titan.
I explained how the giant was the one that Tartarus had created to oppose me, and how I had fought him for some time before my father showed up. I explained that it had been the giant that had manipulated the demigods and how I knew what he had done, and had been able to reverse it. "The reason why I was able to reverse it is because I have the same powers..." Zeus interrupted my explanation yelling "What!" I think he was going to go into a rant, but my father interrupted saying "Peace brother, let him finish."
Zeus stayed quiet and I continued. Once I had finished explaining I said "If it will help us avoid conflict between us, I will swear on the river Styx not to use these powers against Olympus, however I will remind you that as a demigod my fatal flaw was loyalty and that it is now one of my domains, so it isn't in my nature to betray anyone."
After I finished speaking Zeus simply said "Swear on the Styx, then I can be certain that you won't use these powers against us." I didn't bother to protest, since I had said that I would do it and due to my time as a demigod, and then the last twelve years as a god, I know how paranoid Zeus is, so if it would allow us to avoid conflict amongst ourselves I was willing to do it.
Especially since I never use those powers anyway. Besides we can't afford to have conflict amongst ourselves when we are facing the largest war we have faced yet. Due to this I looked at Zeus and said "I Perseus, god of time, tides, waves, swordsmanship, loyalty, and heroes, swear on the river Styx that I won't use my ability to manipulate loyalties against Olympus."
Once I finished the oath I heard thunder rumble sealing the oath, an oath that I was sure I would be able to keep. We decided that we would probably be faced with the next attack the next day, we figured Tartarus' forces would make another attempt to enter the city and take Olympus since their first attempt had failed, they would probably have even more forces than they had today. We had scouts at the different entrances to the city, just in case we were wrong. After the meeting ended Apollo and his children continued healing the wounded. We must have gone through a lot of nectar and ambrosia, although I didn't really keep track.
At one point I noticed Apollo passing Luke a piece of ambrosia. And not long after Apollo must have taken a break because he came over to where I was standing. When I noticed his arrival I didn't acknowledge him right away and continued thinking about basically everything, Luke, the war, Amber.
That's when Apollo said "You look pretty tired out cuz" I replied "What do you expect Apollo, I was fighting a giant." He said "good point." "What exactly could he do anyway?" he asked. I summed up what I had learned about Anastasius, during our fight.
Apollo was silent for a minute before shifting his gaze, I followed it and saw that his gaze had landed on Luke who was talking to a couple other demigods. Apollo spoke again and said "I told you cuz, I told you the day after I found out about your new girl that you wouldn't be able to resist."
I said "Shut it Apollo, nobody likes an I told you so." Apollo just grinned before asking "So who's the new girl" I sighed annoyed that Apollo won't stay out of my business. In the end I replied, "I don't have a new girl."
I guess Apollo knew what I said was the truth because he said "but you said?" I replied "I know what I said during that meeting, but the truth is that I still have feelings for Luke's mother so that's what I meant." He accepted that answer and thankfully he didn't question me further on the topic.
Shortly after this he left and headed back to check on the wounded. I didn't mind when he left, we are pretty good friends now, but he can be annoying and sometimes pries into information that you don't want him to know. I mostly stayed out of the way thinking about our chances in this war and what we might be faced with next.
Luke's point of view
After the meeting of leaders Apollo and his kids tended to the wounded, Chiron left to keep an eye on the party ponies, while everyone else either talked, sharpened their weapons, restocked their arrows, or prepared for the next battle in any way they could think of.
As for me well after having a piece of ambrosia to help with my relatively minor wounds, I went and talked to a few of my friends, at one point I noticed my dad talking to Apollo, and after they finished I was going to go talk to him, but I was kind of surprised when Hermes walked over to me. I bowed and said "Lord Hermes." I really didn't know what to expect, or why he had walked over to me but since I wasn't sure what else to say, I waited for him to speak. A smile appeared on the messenger god's face but it quickly turned serious.
He finally asked "Has your father told you who he named you after?" I nodded and then said "Yes he told me that he named me after Luke castellan, he said that he was one of your sons who died during the second titan war. He said that he betrayed everyone, but in the end sacrificed himself to save them." Hermes nodded and said "That's the short version, but did he tell you that it was Luke who taught him how to use a sword when he first came to camp half blood, and he helped him accept everything and feel at home at camp when he first arrived? Did he tell you that before he claimed that title Luke was the best swordsman in the last 3oo years?" I shook my head he hadn't told me any of that, but then again I hadn't really pushed for answers either. Hermes asked "Has he told you about his own past, why he is considered the greatest hero in history?" I shook my head again. All this new information had piqued my curiosity I decided I would ask my dad about himself the next time we had any amount of time to talk.
Hermes spoke again he said "from what I have heard about you so far, I think you are more like your father than you realize, you have more in common than just appearance and powers." He seemed to be thinking for a moment before saying "Luke I have decided to give you my blessing, will you accept it?" I answered "Of course Lord Hermes Thank you." He gave me his blessing and then told what it would give me. I should have guessed that at least some of the blessing would make it easier to get in trouble, Hermes is the god of thieves after all. I figured that I wouldn't use those abilities too much, otherwise my mom would have my head, I don't know what my dad would think but I didn't think he would be too enthusiastic either. After that we spoke for a bit longer, and then he left. Not long after I noticed him talking to my dad.
