APOLLO POV.
I dash up the stair to my room, and call Pandora through the mind link. I run into my room, feeling sick.
Monster? Beast?
The words beat inside my head like a wrecking ball. I shut the door when Pandora gets in, and lock the door using my Hyper powers.
Pandora lays her head on my bed, and I lay beside it.
Her head is as long as I am tall now, but her huge gold eyes are kind and gentle.
I close my eyes, hoping to wake up without a curse from my best friend.
The next morning....
I groan, and roll out of bed after a dreamless, and restless, night.
Athena stares me down when I open the door to my dorm.
She growls, "Hey, beasty."
I growl in sync with Pandora.
She seems taken a back, but not scared.
She grabs my wrist, and drags me down to the training feild.
From the door way to the outside I can tell they no longer trust me. Manacles litter the ground, and Feona looks scared.
I stretch out, and trot up to Feona.
She whispers a spell, and sprinkles a weird black, blue, white, and red powder onto me. A whirl of wind and black flaming snow litters the sky.
I feel a rush, then it all stops.
I walk back to my room, content and terrified.
I throw on a body protector, and begin to get ready for the event today.
It's being held in the rider stadium a few hundred miles away.
I polish the eventing saddle, and grab the scale polish, scale soap, wing joint ointment, wing lotion, and scale moistureizer.

I lead Pandora out to the stables, and hook her to the crossties. Other riders in the area used these stables as well, and never seemed to notice my presence.
My hair happens to flop away from the scar while I apply Pandora's wing oinment.
A nearby Water mage gasps, and moves away from me.
I hear her whipser, "The cursed one!"
I push the hair back over it, and resume preparing Pandora.

3 hours later....

Done!
Pandora shines like a gem, and the slightest motion coaxed a new colour from her white scales.
I pat her, and begin to tack her up.
A mage approaches me carefully, as if afraid I'd bite it in half.
I hear a quick and mumbled question, "Are you the gold eye curse rider?"
I freeze, trying to remain calm. Not trusting my voice I nod. They run off, whispering to the group of Light mages in the corner.n
I go to mount Pandora, but another mage interups my concentration.
I slip, and land flat on my back. A loud crack fills my ears, and I lay there for a secound.
When Pandora begins to growl and creep up on the kid, I decide to intervine.
I croak, "Pandora, no! I'm.... fine."
I stand up.
The mage seems awestruck.
It asks, "How did you survive a fall from that high up?"
I shrug, dusting myself off.
They run off, and I mount Pandora.
She warbles with concern, but I wave it off saying that I'm fine.

Soon, we're approaching the arena. But we have a problem. It's sunset.
We land as soon as we get cleared, and I register.
