APOLLO'S POV.
Then, the anmouncer calls, "Apollo Farthing and Pandora now flying! Hill Lo on deck...", I merge my mind with Pandora.
Pandora seems content to have me merge without her prompting
Soon, we're heading out of the start, and to the first obstacles.
Then, our contention breaks.
I flick back, and take control.
Pandora seems upset by the sudden seperation, but stays focused.
We weave through the vertical weaving poles, then the horizontal ones,
I tap Pandora when we approach the tunnel. I studied the beast from on deck, and it's made to make a dragon balk and stop.
It's shaped like a Chinese dragon, with as many bends and loops as they could safely offer a medium level rider. The entrance looks like a mouth, and the exit is a skinny tail. It's nearly pitch black in there, with my shifting night vision.
I bump Pandora to the right, and she moves a fraction.
We fly through the first few loops and turns easily. But, then it suprises us. It gets wider, and a set of six under overs lay in the middle.

We fly towards it, and Pandora slips under and over the first three with ease. She soon begins to slow, and I notice a shift in the magic atmosphere.
I place a magic barrier, and we pick up our speed.
This is so unfair!
Then, the room drops below freezing. Pandora shoots through the tunnels' dips, turns, and loops like a rocket.
The crowd oohs and awes at how fast she's going. I see an angry mage sitting on deck, hands forming a ball.
I look at rhe course ahead, and gape. A seventeen set of vertical weave poles lay ahead.
When I look closer, I notice that every other pole is horizontal.
Then, the announcer gestures to the mage. It's drug off, and we approach the complicated obstacle.

The announcer chirps with anticipation, "What's this? Somebody altered the course! Can they do it?"

I merge with Pandora again, thanks to the absense of the mage.

We dive into the obstacle like a bullet. The first few we nearly ding, but after that we have some fun with the mages' handy work.
After the last diagonal flap, we cheer through our secret link.
I return to myself just in time.

A bell is tolled. It signals the end of a round.
I look around, and we're sitting on deck.
I pat Pandora, who is sweaty and gross.
I grab a hose, and hose her down in the stables.
The last rays are dancing over the land.
I clean and polish Pandora, and she decides to become a tattoo on my chest over my heart.

Soon, I'm rushing off to the river in the woods near here I saw earlier.

The sunsets, and I take off towards  the woods.
Soon, I'm silently approaching the creek. Pandora has done some weird magic to turn herself to a tattoo on my chest over my heart.
She whispers, "This curse affects us both, so do not feel alone and afraid. I will always be here."
I soon feel a cold rush, and burning black snow begins to fall.
I flop into the burning grass, and fall asleep.
