APOLLO'S POV.
I scream, "WHAT!"
Libby flinches away.
I see her classmates coming in behind her. Her class is by far the biggest, 22 students.
They stare, confused.
I run a shaking hand through my hair.
I whisper, "Why did she leave me?"
Mrs. Pan sighs.
Libby just looks down.
Moisture grace my cheek.
Why am I crying?
I feel a familiar breath over my neck.
Tears increase, a soft sob echoes in my heart.
Libby takes a sharp breath, as if in awe.
A weight lands on my shoulder.
I stumble.
Wha?
I look into a huge gold eye.
I gape.
Where have I seen these eyes before?
Pandora warbles, "Little one. I have been keeping secrets. May we start over?"
My knees nearly buckle.
Bud?
She bunts my arm.
I turn, and hug her.
I stroke her, tears rolling off her white face scales.
I notice something is preventing her from hugging me back.
I look down.
My legs nearly give out.
A basket of white eggs are in her paws.
Straw lines it.
I screech, "PANDORA!"
She shys back, looking scared.
Mrs. Pan sees the basket, and turns pale.
She rushes to Otice.
Otices' diagnostic is that a new species has been created.
He asks me to name it.
I look at Pandora.
I ask her, "What should we name it?"
She smiles, "Loki Gold eyes."
I shake my head, "Too long!"
I get an idea, "Perditus. Lost. The Lost Dragons."
Pandora snorts.
I explain, "Because I thought I'd lost you."
She nods, and warbles, "I couldn't reach you either. Perditus it is."
Otice shakes his head, "You really have a fedish for strange names. Maybe we should choose something easier to pronounce."
I hear Pandora speak, "Winters' Mischief."
We finallize it.
Otice smiles, and those who cannot see the eggs are confused.
Otice grabs a tablet, and eches the details of sub species into the tablet.
He calls an assistant from the egg room, gives it the tablet and the eggs.
They rush off, baffled.
Then, rain and flaming black snow begins to fall.
Rain? Were also water shifters?
Pandora seems shocked.
The assistant rushes back, snd Otice adds water to the list.
I read the tablet just before it leaves.
I smile.
Pandora seems sad about her eggs, but soon forgets.
She scoops me onto her back.
I hug her neck.
I whisper, at first making no sense, "PandoraIthoughtIlostyouneverdothatagain. I love you Pandora, please never lock me out again. Please."
She nods, causing me to look like a cowboy on a bull.
Everybody laughs, including Otice.
I look down at Libby, and smile.
I ask Pandora, "Who's your mate?"
She coughs in suprise.
A lick of flame flicks out.
Pandora sighs, "the only other of my species. Her dragon."
I look at Libby.
Her dragon is suddenly behind her.
He has black scales, with many different hues.
I pat Pandora, and nearly dismount.
A growl stops me.
My heart skips a few beats.
I stay on, and the flaming percipitation drives down harder.
I feel stronger, and Pandora has the same sensation coursing through her.
I close my eyes, not wishing to see the other kids' faces.
I feel rain and snow against me.
Otice is emitting a proud aura...
Back up! What?
I feel the snow and rain be joined by rose petals.
I look to Libby. She's in a whirlwind of rose petals, flaming snow, and rain.
I smile.
Why are we growing at the same time?
Pandora shrugs, to in the moment.
I relax as the smell of roses fill the air.
Nature mage.
I look to Libby. She doesn't see me, so I focus on the rain.
Then, a shock of pain echoes up my spine.
I fall off, and the rain and snow stop.
The petals break my fall, if only a little bit.
