Alex pov:

The gps took us to the outskirts of the city, the suburbs. Within minutes we pulled in front of a small two story house with a car in its driveway. "You have reached your destination." The automated voice of the gps droned out. It was a quarter past midnight and finally I didn't have to drive anymore. I pulled on the white sweater and got out of the car. I stood and stretched my sore muscles. Then me and Izzy walked up to the door and knocked. It took all of two seconds for Cameron to answer the door. He looked angered but then he saw it was me and Izzy and his face lit up. "Thank god. You two ok?" He asked as he ushered us inside. I nodded. "We're fine. Just tired. I haven't slept in a few days." I told him. He smiled. "Just like old times huh?" He said. Obviously he was referring to when we were younger and would stay up for days on end. He loved it. I however hated it then and I still did now.

We walked into the small house. In front of us was a living room with two couches. To the left against the wall was a staircase leading to the upper level. Behind one of the couches I saw the kitchen and dining room area. On one of the couches a man lay sleeping. It must have been max's friend. "Where's max?" Izzy asked Cameron before I could. "Right here." Max said from the top of the stairs and he raced down. Izzy met him halfway and they hugged. Izzy yelped slightly as max hugged her. "What's wrong?" He said as he let go of her and looked at her curiously. "Sorry. It's my ribs. I think they're bruised." She replied. "Well thank god you guys are here. I was worried about you two." He said. Cameron nodded in agreement. "If anything would've happened I would've killed you when you got here." Cameron said to me. "I think your logic is slightly flawed my friend." I told him as we both chuckled. The man on the couch had apparently woken up with all of our talking. Max looked over and saw that he was awake and getting up. "Ah Alex, Isabelle I'd like you both to meet Marcus. He's an old friend from college and the reason why me and Cameron are alive." He said. The man stepped up to us and I realized he was actually really tall. He stood at least a few inches higher than me with short cut ginger hair. Under most circumstance I would've laughed at the color but this guy looked like he could fight a tank with his fists. He shook both our hands and retreated to the back of our group.

"Max do have some clothes we could borrow?" Izzy asked as she turned towards max. "Yes. where are my manners. Follow me. I have a room you guys can sleep in and a fresh change of clothes." He replied back cheerfully. I couldn't blame him. Being back here with everyone safe and sound felt nice. But come tomorrow we'd be back to being fugitives. Max motioned us to follow him up the stairs and we did. There was a small hallway with 4 doors, 2 on the right, one at the end of the hallway that was open to reveal a bathroom and one on the left side. He opened the left door and clicked on the light. It was a small and simple bedroom. Against the left wall was a medium sized bed and against the right wall next to a doorway was a dresser with two piles of clothes on top and a large mirror above it. The doorway led into the bathroom. "Does this work for you guys?" Max asked as he watched me and Isabelle look around the blue colored room. "Yes." We both said in perfect unison. He laughed and walked out the door. "I'm going to change out of these clothes. They're disgusting." Izzy said and moved to grab one of the piles of clothes on the dresser. "Alright I'm going to get the laptop and all our crap from the car." I told her and left the room shutting the door on my way out. I went downstairs and heard Cameron max and Marcus conversing in the kitchen. I crept out of the house and quickly grabbed the laptop and plastic bag from the backseat of the car and rushed back inside. The night was chilly and I had already taken off my sweater upstairs.

I walked back in the house but everyone in the kitchen was was too busy to notice that I had even left. I went back upstairs and opened the bedroom door. Izzy was standing in front of the dresser wearing only a bra and jeans as she looked at her right side. To my horror I could see a big purple bruise just breathe her bra. As the door clicked shut she jumped and turned to look at me. "Oh Alex I didn't know you were back." She said and turned trying to hide the injury from me. "Izzy wait. Let me see it." I told her as she shied away from me. She sighed and turned to face me. I approached her and bent down slightly. "It doesn't really hurt. It's worse than it looks." She said as I eyed the injury. "Liar." I stated simply. I brushed my finger against it and as she flinched I use my own powers of healing. Soon the bruise faded to a small grayish spot. "There that'll be better" I said as I stood up in front of her. "Thank you." She said and leaned in to kiss me. We hadn't really kissed in days so it was unexpected and took me by surprise. We I leaned away she looked at me puzzled. "What's wrong?" She asked. I shook my head. "Nothing I just want a shower. I feel dirty." I told her. She smiled a wicked grin. "You are dirty. Remember the other night?" She said. I smiled as well. "That's not what I meant" I said as I moved to go into the small bathroom in our room. "I know, I'm just teasing you. Anyway I'll be downstairs when you get out." She told me as she pulled a shirt on over her bright pink bra. I shut the door and looked in the mirror.
