Alex pov:A month had gone by. One agonizing month. I watched as my body walked around pretending to be me, under the control of the man I hated most in life. My mind was constantly in pain. I fought this controlling device every second. No matter how hard I fought I was never able to control myself. Instead I was rewarded with a constant piercing pain in my head. I soon found out who the doctors inside agent was as well. One day my body walked over to Luke's. When I got there Luke grinned and started explaining to graymark in my body about everything of my life. How I had gotten struck by lightning how me and Izzy were dating. About everything and he knew all this in great detail. I was disgusted. I was trapped in a literal living nightmare. Even when my body was asleep my mind stayed awake and I still couldn't get my body to respond to my commands. One of life's greatest freedoms and it was stolen from me. My head was now constantly aching and hurting from my continued fighting. And now the lack of sleep got to me. My thoughts were often dull and sluggish as I couldn't sleep even my body was asleep. And then there was Izzy. It was slowly eating at her. I could tell. She knew it wasn't me somehow. I screamed in my head every time I saw her. It's not me!!! But it was useless. Izzy noticed all the slight differences in me. I didn't walk the same. I didn't talk the same. I didn't even look at her the same. But they were all very tiny differences. Nobody but Izzy noticed. And then my body, against my will, tried reassuring her that it was me. That I was simply changing a little. She seemed to believe it. I screamed silently in my head until I was to tired to continue. "Please Izzy just feel my back, then you'll know it's not me" I pleaded in my head. But she wouldn't, couldn't. the thing that took me over didn't allow it. More time passed. Every minute of it got worse. I was starting to give up fighting. I had to save what little mental strength I had.
I noticed my body getting up and walking out of the room. I started walking to some random corner of HQ like this body always did. Then I heard familiar voices. So did my evil controller. It walked over to a cracked doorway where Isabelle's voice drifted out " -i swear it's not him!" She pleaded to someone. " he's different. He walks different, talks different and acts different. But everytime I ask him he deflects the question. It's infuriating. I can't stand it. I want him back!" She said and I could hear the sorrow in her voice. "Now hang on Izzy" I heard max say in an attempt at a soothing voice. "It really could be that he's just changing. I mean he's had a lot happen. Stuff like that changes you. And he still loves you doesn't he?" Max finished. She didn't reply for awhile. "Well yes. He does." She said. "You see he's still the same. Just give him some time. Help him through it." Max said. I heard shuffling. "Alright I will. Thanks for listening to me." I heard Isabelle say. No no no no he's wrong! You're right. It's not me! Help me. I tried and tried to scream to her with my mouth. It didn't work. I screamed in my head from frustration and pain. My body scooted away. "Hey kid just you wait. I'm going to destroy her spirit as you watch." I whispered to myself. A feeling of dread consumed me. He was going to do something to Izzy. And there was nothing I could do to stop him.
Time passed agonizingly slow. Everyday was a new day of torture. I soon found out what he was going to do to isabelle. Now whenever he was with her he made sure he was horrible to her. Whenever she tried to talk to me, but not me, he was get infuriated at her for no reason often telling her to shut up. but she still tried. And i had to watch over it all. I started to beg that izzy would just stop. i wished she would just see that at least i was an asshole and leave. But she didn't. She clung to the belief that it was me. stop, i would plead silently to myself. But it was useless. All of it was. One day though it all got substantially worse.
My eyes opened and i watched as my body got up. I walked to the elevator and went all the way up. When it got out it walked through some dimly light zigzagged passageways. I had never been in this part of the base before but graymark knew where he was going. We approached a closed door and stepped inside the room behind it. It was a room full of computers. Like the database rooms you saw in movies. My body walked over to one that had a screen on it. I watched as graymark started rapidly typing numbers into the computer. I realized he was hacking it. Then he stopped. On the screen was a loading bar. And under it, it said virus uploading. He typed some more and the window disappeared making it look like nothing was there.
