Isabelle pov:"Well he was interesting" max said. "Did you see the way his eyes kept darting around. Like he was looking for danger? And he looked like he was ready to jump at any moment." He said. "I know. And he looks like he never sleeps. Whatever they did to him it really got to him. When I rescued him h-he begged me to kill him. Not asked but begged." I replied back remembering that awful moment. His defeated face bloody and just miserable. "Jesus. He didn't talk much. Has he with you?" He asked me. "Yes kind of." I replied back. "Well I have a feeling he'll make a good soldier. Whatever they did to him in there it gave him unique abilities, what they are is a mystery." He said. "Anyways that's all you better get back to him before he jumps out of his skin." He said. I got up and walked out of the office. Alex jumped as I walked out like max predicted. "Alright now I'll show where you'll train and give you a tour." I said to him. I looked at him his dark hair almost covering his hazel eyes. His expression was hidden ,no, guarded. "Ok lead on" he said. "First thing there's 6 levels of HQ and each one is laid out the same and in a way that it's easy to find everything. On level 1 is the infirmary and quarters. Level 2 are barracks mess hall and the pool. Level 3 is more quarters and the armory and shooting range. Level 4 is storage mainly level 5 is explosive storage and level 6 has the containment cells and uh interrogation rooms" I said trying to rephrase torture rooms as i thought it might be a touchy subject. He nodded, his expression still guarded. "And outside we have the landing pads and parking spots." He chuckled at that showing a faint grin. "How do you guys hide this place?" He asked looking at me questioningly. I explained the cloak to him. He said nothing after that. I gave him the tour showering everywhere he would need to know to go. As I led him back to his room he stopped me. "Have you completed your training yet?" He asked. I nodded. "Will you help me with mine?" He asked. He looked vulnerable. But there was something else in his eyes. He seemed...longing. "Sure I'll meet you at marks tomorrow and then go with you to Luke." I said feeling awkward. He smiled then. A genuine smile.
He walked past me into his room. I let out a breath that I hadn't realized I was holding in. I walked to my room only three doors down. When I got in my room I took off my jeans and climbed into bed. I grabbed the remote off my bedside table and switched on the tv on top of my dresser. "Breaking news today as the military revealed its newest weapon the sydonis orbital weapons system. It-" I switched the channel. We already knew about the stupid weapons system. Gotta love hackers. I settled on a boring old tv show. I pulled the covers up to my neck. I was really tired even though it wasn't too late in the evening. Oh well. Sleep never hurt anyone and I never had nightmares. As I started drifting off I Wondered if Alex ever had nightmares.
Alex pov:
I shut the door behind me. I was a little shaky and I felt a headache coming on. I decided to take a shower. I felt...dirty. I walked into the bathroom. There were two towels hanging on a rack and a bar of soap in the shower. I turned it on undressing taking off the bandages on my arms and chest as I did, and shut the bathroom door. I climbed in letting the hot water flow over me. It felt nice. By the time I got out of the shower my headache was starting to get very annoying. I dried off and got dressed. My room was just the way I had left it but something felt different. I felt like there was something no, someone watching me. I started feeling scared. Stop it, I told myself. There was nothing to be scared of. I started walking toward my bed when suddenly my entire body tensed up and fear shot through me. I fell to my knees. Fear consumed me. I was convinced I was going to die. I couldn't move and I could barely breathe. I felt so alone. The room turned dark. Then my door opened and the same general from the hellhole walked in a smile on his face and a knife in his hand. I didn't think it was possible but I got even more scared. Now I couldn't breath at all, just choke on my strained breathing attempts. He started walking slowly over. It felt like forever until he finally got to me. He looked down at me, his eyes glowing red standing out against the pitch black that surrounded him. He started bringing his knife down.
