Chapter 24 (:
-Mariele's POV-
I woke up from a beeping sound of an electric device from beside me. I looked around the room that looked like I was in a hospital. I felt something heavy rest on my left hand and I saw Louis, sleeping with his head on the edge of the hospital bed, his arm on my hand and him seated on an uncomfortable chair.
"Louis," I weakly said, shaking him gently as I could. "Louis," I repeated.
He jolted up, sitting up straight, and quickly resting his head in between his hands. After several seconds of cooling down, he saw me and a look of surprise appeared on his face. "You're awake!" He breathed out a sigh of relief.
I looked at him confusedly. "What happened? What do you mean by 'you're awake'?" I bombarded him with my questions.
His facial expressions looked relaxed and he had bags under his eyes, probably from lack of sleep. "You blacked out because you were stressed, you've been asleep for around 24 hours or so but you really needed to rest," He explained, eyes starting to water.
I was surprised at his reaction, not the fact that I've been sleeping for the past 24 hours of my life. "Shh," I comforted him. "Everything's fine - I'm fine. Right?."
"Just," He paused, exhaling, "Just please don't do it again and scare me like that, promise?"
"I promise."
-Keshia's POV-
It's been 5 years - 5 years since I've last seen them in person. Of course, still being the best boy band in the world, I'll see them on the television, magazines and posters but it's been 5 agonising years since I talked to them in person, too. Thankfully, throughout those years, Kieran and Gloria, Kieran's girlfriend since 2 years ago, have been there for me when I was down and when I needed them most for comfort and day-outs.
It's quite a funny story, really. I met Gloria at my Primary school and one afternoon, 2 and a half years ago or so, I suddenly accidentally bumped into her and saw her when I went out to the movies with Kieran, my best friend. Gloria and Kieran met each other that day and when they saw each other, sparks flied and time passed. Other than that, even though they're both together, they never make me feel left out, like the third wheel.
I'm not afraid to admit that Kieran and I tried be a couple but things just didn't work. We knew that it didn't work because things started to go more awkward than it ever was between us until we started to talk about our relationship. Eventually, we talked about it which made our relationship more stronger to become best friends forever.
I went on my MacBook and went on Twitter. I've been on Twitter for quite some time but I never reply to any of the posts that the 9 of them has sent me as it reminds me too much of the pain it has caused my heart. And besides, they stopped trying to send me messages throughout the first year I left London.
As annoying as it may be, I keep seeing a lot of posts about him and Caroline Flack on Twitter and online magazines. Apparently, they are just friends and nothing else. Friends my ass. I saw it myself when I was going to visit him in his hotel room.
I turned off my laptop and put it on the bed. I checked myself on the mirror to see if I had any smudged make-up on my face from all of those eye-scratching since I was too tired. A girl in a black, knitted coat and blue skinny jeans and a beret reflected back to me on the mirror, with her dark, long, soft hair tucked behind her ears. It may be the middle of spring but today was a little chilly for my liking.
My family and I are in London - yes, London - because a special event that is going to happen soon. Recently, my Mom and I have been travelling with my Dad to his overseas meetings as my Mom and Dad can't stand a day without each other. Yes, they are engaged and have been for 6 or 7 months. My parents chose this location because London is where they met each other when they were teenagers.
I walked out of the elevator and into the expensive-looking lobby and met up with my Mom, who's hand was holding my Dad's hand, Dad, Kieran, who's arm is around Gloria's shoulder, and Gloria. They all looked so happy that I wanted to take my camera out and snap a photo of them but I forgot my camera in my room.
"Hey," I greeted all of them, kissing them one-by-one on their cheeks.
"Hello," The all replied back, greeting me with a smile.
"Honey," Mom called out, "Are you all ready to go?"
I nodded and we all left the hotel.
Today, as childish as it may sound, we're going out to the park to have a little picnic gathering - just the 5 of us. As always, it feels like I'm a little left out as they each have a partner to warm their hands in and rest their head on their shoulder, but of course, being my stubborn self, I would never admit that to them.
I sighed. I miss him. I miss him even though he's a lying, cheating scumbag who never actually liked me. Gemma was right - he will find another girl, but in this case, it's not Liam, its Harry.
My family and I - yes I do consider Kieran and Gloria to be part of my family - are sat down on one of the benches at the local park in London. My Mom and Dad started to set up the food on the table. Mom and Dad are opposite to Kieran, Gloria, and I.
"So," Mom started, still fixing the sandwiches on the table, "Have you heard anything from your sister?"
I tensed up. I felt a hand on the middle of my back, gently patting me to calm down. Everyone knows that this topic brings me discomfort but my Mom is the only one who pushes those buttons into bringing me into an uncomfortable topic. Of course, I always accuse myself that it's my fault that Mariele had to go to the hospital and it's also my fault that she'd been so stressed but people tell me that I didn't do anything and I did what I thought was best.
I shook my head. "No, Mom. They haven't been emailing me or messaging me lately," I said. "They must've moved on," I mumbled to myself.
Gloria, who was sitting next to me, gave me a sympathetic smile and ate her sandwich slowly.
'Great,' I thought, 'now I made everyone silent.'
As everyone else, I ate my sandwich slowly, hoping for a 'miracle' to happen.
-Gemma's POV-
Gianella and I are walking away from Starbuck towards London's local park as we felt like drinking our chosen beverages on a swing where the wind will strike our faces.
Liam and I are apparently the 'cutest' couple in our group, and then it came to Zayn and Gianella. We were apparently deserved the title as the 'cutest' couple because Liam and I are inseparable as whenever we're with the group, we'll always be holding hands, kissing or embracing each other.
I miss Keshia so, so much. Keshia was always the person I talk to when it comes to relationship problems even though she'd never had one before. I have to admit, I hated Harry for doing it but he talked to me about it and there's a reason to why Harry had to be with Caroline. Caroline has been hanging out with our group lately but no-one, and I do mean no-one, ever pays any attention to her which is kind of funny because she throws mini tantrums whenever she realizes that no-one was listening to her at all.
As we walked towards the swings of the park which thankfully was free and was not in use, a group of people having a picnic on one of the park benches mysteriously caught my eye. I fully stopped and tensed up which caused Gianella to stop, too.
"Gianella," I whispered, my breath caught up in the back of my throat.
Gianella shot me a worried look. "What is it?"
I walked towards the group of people and surprisingly, I was right.
"Keshia," I croaked.
