You and your best friend, Amber, had decided to visit a local art museum over the weekend due to a stressful school week before. You were thrilled to go with her because I mean, who wouldn't be excited to go anywhere with Amber?

Amber came and picked you up around noon. You both drove to the museum that was a good fifteen minutes from your house. On the way, you just basically just talked about drama and how stressful finals were that you had both taken a few days before this. Your friendship was usually like this. You, in all honesty had feelings for Amber but you never said anything because you didn't want to lose the friendship that you had with her. When you got there, you both paid for your admission fees and entered the museum. When you first entered, you were in awe of the beautiful artwork that was all around you. The building was open and very large. It was filled with things from pottery, statues, paintings, and other visual art features. Even the ceilings had some type of art work hanging from them. It was stunning.

You look at Amber and you saw that she was staring at you, smiling. "It's beautiful here." You stated. She smiled wider and giggled a bit. You were confused. "What's so funny, Amber?" She shook her head. "Nothing, dummy." You rolled your eyes and stared back at the artwork.

After you two had been throughout the whole museum at least three times, you two exited and headed to a near by café. After ordering a small meal and having a small argument about who was paying, which ended up being Amber. Then, you two sat in a booth near the window and talked. Amber was acting strange and shy, which wasn't like her at all. "Amber," you said, getting her attention, "Are you okay? You're acting different." "Oh, yeah. I just have some things on my mind and it's pretty stuffy in here." She said. You didn't buy this, but you decided not to pry on the topic since she didn't seem thrilled to talk about it. "Want to go then?" You asked. She smiled and got up. "Let's go." You had assumed that she was taking you home after this, but she had turned a different way. "Where are we going?" You asked. She smiled. "I can't tell you. It's a surprise."

Soon after this, you guys arrived at a local park. You looked at her and chuckled. "You're a complete dork." You said. "I know."

You followed Amber around the park at her request. You looked around to see all of the children swinging and running around. You listened to their conversations and laughter. This made you smile. You looked ahead to Amber and realized that she was a distance away from you. You jogged to keep up.

She brought you to this bridge overlooking a river that you two had always came to as kids. The sun was starting to set, so you began to watch that. "I need to talk to you about something." Amber said. "What is it?" "Well, it's... More of a confession thing.." She said, looking away from you and scratching the back of her neck. "You can tell me anything Amber." You said, putting your hand on her shoulder and giving her a small smile. She smiled back. "Well... It's just that... This isn't just a recent thing. It's been a 'problem' for me for a while. Well, not a problem, that sounds rude and-" "Amber, just tell me." You said, interrupting her rambling. She sighed. "Okay," she said, "I've had feelings for you for a while and I just wasn't sure if you felt the same or if you were even like that and.. I'm sorry." She said, looking at her feet. You smiled and hugged her. "I thought that you didn't feel the same about me. Amber, I like you too. I have for a while." You said. You both smiled and she hugged you back. "Thank God.. I was so scared to tell you!" You laughed.

You two sat there for about another hour and talked about silly stuff and laughed about childhood memories. This was the beginning of something so, very beautiful.
