a/n; you all requested a part two so I'm here to bless you :)

I laid in my dimly lit hotel room, rays of sun peeked through the thick, tan curtains. It was early, and I hadn't gotten any sleep the night before. I had dried tears on my cheeks and my eyes were puffy. When I arrived in the room, I sat my suitcase down and fell to the bed; and I haven't moved since. I felt no need to. I hadn't checked my phone at all because I decided it was best to turn it off and charge it. Even if I told Amber to not contact me again, there was no doubt in my mind that she wouldn't do it anyways.

I rolled over in the cheap, scratchy sheets and read the digital clock that the hotel provided. '6:46a.m.' it read in bold red numbers. Even if the hotel provided a breakfast, my stomach didn't crave food. It craved Amber, in any form that I could get her in, even if that meant going anywhere that reminded me of her. It sounded stupid to do that to myself, but even the thought brought comfort.

So, without hesitation, I grabbed my car keys and made my way down the stairs to it. I was wearing what I had changed into yesterday, which pathetically enough, was black leggings and one of Amber's hoodies that she had given to me. The smell of our house lingered on it, but Amber's deep pine smell had dominance over it. I was satisfied with it, unfortunately enough. I finally started the car and let the cool air come from the vents. I thought about the places that I could go, and eventually set my mind on a local doughnut shop that Amber and I visited for breakfast on the weekends. So, I finally pulled out and went on my way.

I started thinking about the place and the memories we had there. About a year ago, we were there and it was our two year anniversary, and since we went there often together, we thought that it was appropriate. The memory flooded my mind; the picture of Amber and I laughing at the frosting that we had gotten all over each other, and how we had almost spilled our coffees over into the floor. And especially how the employees behind the counter rolled their eyes and gave us dirty looks, which only made us laugh even harder. I was so sucked into this memory that I didn't notice the green light in front of me turn to red, and the last thing I remember was the sound of car horns along with a loud crash. My left side filled with pain and then my vision went completely black.

Amber's POV

I woke up to the closed curtains and the dark room around me. The cool air brushing against my skin, making me shiver. My cheeks were sore and my eyes were puffy, and most likely blood shot. My now bruised knuckles ached from getting angry last night, leaving its mark in the wall.

I rolled over slowly to check my phone and the time, but when I did, one of (y/n)'s friends had texted me a few times and called me a couple. I opened them to see what was wrong, and when reading them, my phone dropped out of my hands and I quickly got up to throw some clothes and shoes on. I ran down stairs and grabbed my car keys, not even locking the door behind me.

"This is all my fucking fault! Goddamn it!" I screamed, hitting the steering wheel and going as fast as I could to reach the hospital.
