Onyx eyes stare off across the large open yard. Strong fingers flex against each other as the tall male stands close to an old oak tree. His hand runs against his face, trembling only slightly as he spots a small girl darting towards him. The little girl dressed in a simple pink dress runs forwards as a blob of scruffy black hair darts after her.

Light blue eyes wander upwards and towards the girl. The young boy moves with haste and care toward her. Keeping pace but also letting her lead. Gentle and peaceful as they run and play.

Hushed breaths and a gaspy grunt escape into the air. The little girl's feet come to a full stop as the slightly taller boy nearly runs into her.

Issac's darkened eyes watch over the 3-year-old girl and his 5-year-old son, Caleb. It's been merely a year since Katherine, his mate, has let anyone outside of their mate bond hold the boy.

Though for good reason considering she's lost a pup before. Not her fault but she still partly blames herself.

Actually, that lies within his selfishness, he was indirectly involved. An Alpha wolf is a finicky thing, sometimes he outsmarts himself. Even if he'd apologized hundreds of times it could never wash away her pain.

His eyes close and then open again, much brighter in color. Mimicking his son's but a little darker in shade. His focus moves to the little girl.

Her bright green eyes focused back and forth from Caleb to the sky. Issac's fingers flex ever so slightly, his wolf peaking through to the scene before him.

If his wolf's intuition is correct then she's surely his son's mate. Which given the circumstances he'll need to look further into her family's history. A tradition that his father used to research Katherine's family line.

The alpha's blood has always been a constant key to the pack as a whole. One slip-up and the entire breed could become corrupt. It's up to him to start searching but for now, his son's happiness is all that's necessary.

"Alpha."

"What, Eric?" He huffed out, clearly irritated. He has enough to focus on right now.

Tanned fingers curl into themselves ever so slightly, biting back onto his tongue. The bluish tone of darkened hair hides his eyes ever so slightly as he stands off to the side beyond his brother.

A slight silvery glimmer reflects off the gold eyes as they peak upwards to his Alpha. The spunky gamma momentarily questioned his use to the Alpha.

The pure power of Issac's voice alone makes even the highest-ranked wolves a bit doubtful.

Eric's eyes refocus quickly as he brings himself from the thought and back to earth so to speak.

"The Luna, she's requested your presence at the mansion now."

Issac looks back to his son, a gentle smile on his face. He slightly waves his hand before he moves away from them, leaving Caleb to his gamma.

His body jolts forwards as he exits into the woods. A sleek, darkened blur darted off into the trees, moving towards the mansion. He's particularly to this rather than riding back.

His wolf is a deep shade of black, an entirely dark being with a striking red tint to his eyes. He looks and even expels an aura that allows him not to be tested.

The trees thicken and thin several times before his eyes finally catch on the tall house towering over the treetops. He darts towards it as he moves to the small greenhouse on the right side.

Paws slide swiftly against the dirt as his spine straightens suddenly. Numerous cracks and snaps sound through the greenhouse as he shifts back. He steps out of the greenhouse and into the silent halls of the home. Redressed in his grey shirt and black slacks. He moves towards the center of the home as he tugs his suit coat on.
