Chapter 3

Rocky was checked out of the hospital 2 days later and Carter made sure she got home safe. He felt bad so he paid for her hospital bill. She laughed at her self when she realized how embarrassing it was for him to have to bring her to the hospital. She fell asleep telling her self that she would never drink again. She woke up and got dressed. She had a interview today. She knew if she didn't get the job she would be screwed. She straightened her hair and looked in the mirror. She had naturally poofy,curly hair and brown eyes, but she always straightened her hair cause she hated it natural. She walked out the door locking it behind her. She straightened her pencil skirt and walked down the stairs. She drove her car all the way to the parking lot next to the huge building that she would be interviewed at. She pushed her boobs up and adjusted her shirt making sure they didn't look saggy. She buttoned her shirt half way and looked down. Her boobs would look great but she didn't want to be unprofessional so she buttoned the shirt all the way. She walked into the building with her heels clanking. She stopped at the receptionist and the women looked up at her. She was old with gray hair and worn out blue eyes. Rocky looked at he name tag and saw her name was Roseanne.
"I'm here for my interview" Rocky said smiling at Roseanne. Roseanne flipped some paper and nodded. She pointed to the elevator.
" Go to the 34th floor. Walk down the right hallway until you see double doors with CJ on the handles.Good Luck!" Roseanne looked back down at her papers and Rocky walked towards the elevator. Doing as she was told she went to the 34th floor and walked until she stopped in front of double doors. The doors each had one letter on the handle. The left one was C and the right one was J. Rocky opened the door and walked in. A man with slicked back black hair turned around and she was surprised to find Carter sitting there. He looked her up and down stopping at her face and smiled.
" Are you here for the interview for my personal assistant?"
"Yes."
"Come sit down." He said patting the chair. They started the interview and he asked her questions like 'are you good for the job?' And finally they finished up. He looked down at his paper and nodded he reached out his hand to her.
"Congratulations, you are now my PA. Come in tomorrow morning at 5 a clock sharp and start your first day." They shook hands and she walked out. She held her excitement in until she got into the elevator. As soon as the doors to the elevator closed she shrieked. She walked to her car and drove to Starbucks to get herself a congrats coffee. She got a caramel frappicino with extra caramel and drink it all. She got up and went home. She undressed and was fixing to take a shower when she looked down at her cast. It seemed like it was staring at her and laughing. She wrapped it in a bag and took a bath. She picked out her outfit for her first day and laid down drifting off to sleep. Her alarm went off at 3 and she got up to get dressed. She made her coffee and drink it while she rubbed her eyes.
" it's so early." She said before pouring the rest of her coffee down the drain. She brushed her teeth and put her hair in a slick pony tail. She got dressed and put her make up on. She walked out the door and carefully made her way down the hallway in her chunky heels trying not to fall over. She finally got to her work at 4 30 and walked up to Carters office he assigned her some work and she sat down in the desk next to him filling out paper work. Hunger struck her at noon. Her stomach growled and she looked over at her boss. He hadn't moved an inch and he didn't look the least bit hungry. Her stomach growled louder this time and Carter turned his head.
" Are you hungry?" He said looking over at her. She nodded and he called his receptionist and told her to get them food. She brought it up and Carter and Rocky ate in a awkward silence. When they were done Rocky cleaned up the mess and threw the plates away. The day finally ended and Rocky drove home in silence.
