Looking for love

Chapter 25

She finally finished unpacking all her stuff and looked around smiling.
"I finally did it! I moved!" She said to Athena as she picked the dog house up. She set it down in the back left corner of the back yard and put the flowery rug down in it. She had painted it pink and it looked good with the rug. Athena sat down in it happily and Rocky smiled. She sat down on the steps and listened to the birds chirp. She took a photo of her new yard and put it on snapchat.

She laughed and looked at all the messages she had gotten from Carter. She was surprised that he still texted her. Or even tried to talk to her. She had been ignoring him for 2 months. She stood up and sniffed in the winter air. She was excited for Christmas because she was going to get to spend it with Ranae and Athena. She headed inside and whistled. She watched as Athena came running and shut the glass door behind her. Setting her phone on the counter she pulled out a red sharpie and drew a smiley face on her phone. She threw the  marker back in the drawer and got dressed for work. After hours of hard working non stop she was really tired. She put on Athena's leash and got into her car heading to target. She put Athena in the buggy and looked at all the Christmas stuff. She got Christmas lights, Christmas cookies, a Santa hat, Christmas pajamas,Christmas slippers, egg nog kit, and Christmas dog treats. Everything in her house was safe for dogs so she didn't bother buying any candy or chocolate. She paid for all the stuff and drove home blaring jingle bell rock. She set her stuff down and made herself a cup of hot chocolate. She poured some into Athena's bowl and she drank it fast before realizing it was hot. Rocky put on her onesie and was about to have a Netflix marathon when her phone rang. She ran over to it and saw that the caller ID was Carter. She answered it giving up on the silent treatment she had been putting him through.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
"I know you hate me but please let me make it up to you."
"Ok."
"Just give me one chance. That's all I n-wait what?"
" I said ok."
"Thank you so much you will love the decision you just made. I will make you the happiest woman alive."
She hung up the found and walked over to the couch turning on the tv.
I put a picture of Rocky's Christmas themed living room. I like to think of Rocky's house as a welcoming, modern environment. I'm going to surprise you guys in 2 chapters so stay tuned. I hope you enjoy the rest of my book! Comment if you think Rocky and Carter will get back together.
