Ranae laughed when she saw Athena in the front seat. She hopped in the back and closed the door.
"Hey."
"Hey am I under dressed?"
"No perfect!"
Rocky started the car and Ranae put on her seatbelt. She drove to the restaurant and turned off the car. She hopped out and Athena and Ranae followed her. She stood in front of a guy in a tux and laughed at how underdressed her and Ranae were.
"I have a reservation for 4 under Rocky."
"Ah yes."
The man led them to a table and gave them menus. Glaring at Athena,he walked away. Suddenly Carter and Petunia showed up. The man directed them to Rocky's table and they sat down. Petunia laughed under her breath at Rocky and Rocky glared at her.
"Hello Rocky." Carter said trying to laugh at her.
"Hey Carter. This is Ranae and if you remember my MUTT, Athena."
"Yes I remember. And is this your girlfriend?"
"PA."
"I see."
The waiter came back and they ordered. Rocky hated that every time she talked Petunia talked over her. Finally the horrible dinner was over and Rocky paid for it. She walked towards the car with Ranae and Athena walking behind her. She felt a hand grab her and she swung around. She looked Carter up and down and scowled.
"What do you want?" She said with the angriest face she could make.
"I want to talk."
She gave Ranae Athena's leash and told her to go wait in the car.
"Ok what do you want?"
"I want you." He tried to pull her close to him,but she pushed him away. He looked at her with sad eyes and she ignored him walking towards her car. She slammed the door and looked at Ranae. She turned the music up really loud and drove back to the work place. She dropped Ranae off and drove to the closest beach. She turned off her car and looked at all the missed calls and messages from Carter. She threw her found in the back seat and hopped out. She looked around and saw no one so she stripped into her underwear. She ran into he water as Athena barked behind her. She played and swam with her before finally drying off. She patted Athena as she sat down in the sand.
"You are a great dog." She said before laughing. She wrapped the towel around her and got dressed in the trunk.
