She sat on the couch watching bear and Athena run outside in the snow. There was a knock at the door and she answered it. Carter stood in the door way and she pulled him in. She had the urge to kiss him but pushed it away. She remembered the warm kiss she shared with him earlier and heard him mumble something.
"I love you." He said loud enough for her to hear.
"I love you too."
He looked at her shocked and pulled her close to him. He gave her the best kiss she had ever had. She pulled away and looked him up and down.
"I can't be without you." He said picking her up. She nodded and a tear fell from her eye. He set her down in the spare bed room's bed. He wiped the tear from her eye and she gave him a fragile smile. He picked her up again and she kissed him passionately. They laid down next to each other and their fingers intertwined. She fell asleep in his arms thinking about how happy she was to be with him again.
