Looking for love

Chapter 17

Rocky poured dog food into Athena's bowl and looked at her phone. She searched for well paying jobs. Finally she found someone looking for a CEO. She couldn't believe it and called the number immediately.
"Hello I'm here for the CEO interview?"
"Ok would you like to schedule an appointment?"
"Yes please."
"Is tomorrow at 1 fine?"
"Yes ma'am."
Rocky ended the call and danced around the kitchen excitedly. Athena jumped beside her and she laughed. She pulled out a pencil skirt and a white collared shirt and set it out for the interview. She put on her pajamas and fell asleep smiling. When she woke up she stretched and got out of bed. Smiling as she got dressed she did a happy dance and walked into the kitchen. She made herself coffee and gave Athena a dog treat. She put Athena in her kennel and headed off to work. She sat in her office glancing at the clock every couple seconds. When it finally turned 12 she rushed over to Carter.
"I'm going on lunch break." She said running out of the room before he could even answer. She drove to the interview. When she got there she smiled as she thought about how she could end up being the CEO of the competitor of Carter's company. She was finally called up and walked into the office. She sat down and straightened her skirt. The guy asked her a couple questions before nodding. He scribbled something down and looked back up at her.
"I think you have an excellent set of skills and I am proud to tell you that you are now the CEO of this company." She smiled and walked over to him pulling him into a hug letting go awkwardly. He showed her around the office and told her to come in tomorrow to start. She drove back to work and walked up to Carter.
"I would like to resign." She said sliding resignation papers towards him. He looked at her confused. He looked down at the paper and nodded.
"I know I've been treating you harshly but I didn't think you would resign for it."
"I am resigning because I have found another job. I will be working as a CEO for another company. As a matter of fact I will be the CEO of your competitors company."
When he heard this he looked at her shocked.
"I see. Well I guess I'll see you around." He said looking back down at his desk. She packed her stuff and said goodbye to her work friends. They gave her their numbers and she drove home. She unlocked the door and did a happy dance letting Athena out of her kennel. Her and Athena danced around the room to 'don't stop believing'. She put Athena's leash on her and went for a drive. She stopped in front of a target and walked in. She set Athena in a buggy and started shopping. She went down a candy aisle and poured all kinds of chocolate and other snacks in the cart. She got 8 different dog treats,and 26 new dog outfits. She got some cool light up blanket

and pillow,

some as seen on tv stuff,and a memory foam pillow. She found a really cool dog house

and got that to. She paid for all of it and put it in her car. She smiled happily looking over at Athena in the passenger seat before turning on the car. She put all the snacks on the couch, including the dog treats, and ripped the memory foam pillow out of it's box. She set the pillow down on her bed. She put the dog house in the closet telling herself that she was going to move into a house so she would use it later. She took off Athena's coat and leash and changed into her pajamas. She put Athena in some doggy slippers and a doggy robe and sat down on the couch. Athena laid down next to her and her night of celebration began.
