You never really got over Kagami. Whenever you saw him with (Random Girl's Name), you would feel a pang of jealousy and sadness, and you had to look away. You weren't the type of person that would get mad over jealousy and try to break them apart, so you kept it hidden. After all, they looked happy.

Even though Kagami had ,apparently, found the girl of his dreams, you wished he could pay more attention to you. You thought that after all that time you spent with him being his 'temporary friend,' he would actually think of you as a real friend now. Maybe you were right, maybe you were wrong, but you wouldn't know any time soon because Kagami started seeing you less and less.

And yes, you were afraid to ask him. Afraid that he would misunderstand and the bond that you two shared would break.

"(First name)?" Kiyoshi snapped you out of your thoughts. You jumped a little. "Oh. Did I scare you?"

You walked home a lot with Kiyoshi since you share the same route back to your houses.

"No, not really," you said. "I just zoned out."

"You do that a lot now don't you? I noticed the same when you came to watch practice. Is there anything wrong?"

"No," you answered quickly.

"Did something happen with Kagami?"

Damn, he really did know you. Even though he was your best friend, you didn't want to tell him. You felt that this was your own problem and you shouldn't bring others into it.

"It's nothing," you denied again.

Kiyoshi looked at you skeptically, but decided not to push it. He didn't want to pry into your personal life. Still, he was concerned.

"Just be careful not to zone out too much," he warned. "I don't want to see you getting hurt."

You nodded, "Okay."

You stopped in front of his house. "I guess we part ways here," you said.

"I'll walk you back to your house," Kiyoshi suggested.

"I'm fine on my own."

"No you're not."

"Yes I am."

"What if you zone out and get hurt."

"I won't."

No matter how much you argued, Kiyoshi wouldn't budge. You sighed and gave in, little did you know a certain redhead passed by and heard the whole thing.

Something bothered him. He was sure of it, but what was bothering him? He finally gets to be with the girl he likes... But maybe that was it. He couldn't forget about the friendship, or rather, 'temporary friendship' he had with you. He looked at you as an actual friend, but maybe you only looked at him as a temporary friend. That bothered him because he wanted to continue to be with you. You already said you would still be friends with him, but for some reason, there was an uncomfortable feeling inside him.
