14 - I love you

ADAM'S POV

Nakatulala na lang ako. Bukas, alam ko na pupunta kami sa guidance dahil nag skip kami ng klase.

Mag hapon kaming nakatambay dito. Our eyes are swollen and red.

Tumingin ako kay Lia na kanina pa tulog. I slowly placed her head on top of my shoulder.

Sabi mo, mahal mo ko pero as a friend lang pala.

Gusto kong mahalin mo ko as a man. Pero, natatakot ako na baka masaktan kita tulad ng mga ex boyrfriends mo.

Nakita ko lahat ng pag hihirap mo tuwing nakikipag break up sila sayo, halos mag maamatay ka na nga e. Hindi ko kinaya noong dinala ka sa ospital dahil inoverdose mo ang sarili mo. Ayoko gawin yun sayo. Ayokong makita kang nasasaktan.

Natatakot akong masaktan ka dahil sakin.

Mas mabuti pa tong nararamdaman ko ngayon kaysa masaktan ka. Masakit mang malaman na hanggang friends lang talaga tayo pero, para rin naman sayo toh e.

Kasi pag nasaktan ka, hindi ko kakayanin. Baka mapatay ko ang sarili ko.

I run my fingers through her hair gently and kissed her forehead.

"I love you, Lia." I whispered to her ears.

ZANDER'S POV

I went to an arts school kung saan ininvite ako para kumanta sa isang celebration. Anniversarry kasi ng art school na yun.

I entered the school and walked over to the owner's office. But, I stopped by a room.

"Painting Class"

Tumingin ako sa bintana para sumilip. Then, I saw a very familiar face and body figure.

Kate?

She's into painting? Di ko yun alam ah..

I watched her as she paints. Para siyang anghel na nag pepainting.

Nagbibigay liwanag ang tirik ng araw behind her. Her hair is shining beautifully and her hand movements are gentle.

She's so focused on her artwork.

I shook my head and almost forgot that I have an appointment with the owner.

I continued walking towards the office but, I never took off my eyes from her hanggang nakalagpas na ko at nakarating na ko sa office.

"Good afternoon, sir Rob." I greeted him and he stood up and shook my hand.

"Good afternoon, Zander. Thanks for coming. So, handa ka na ba?"

"Yes, ofcourse sir."

"Okay, that's good to hear. You can now go practice on the stage downstairs. Nakaready na lahat para sa rehearsal."

"Okay, thanks sir."

"Yeah, you're welcome. Good luck!"

I walked out of the office. I thought there's something important we have to discuss pero, I was just welcomed.

Anyways, I walked towards the stage and as expected, all are set ad ready.

I walked up to the stage and they told me to start singing so I did.

I sang passionately. I even closed my eyes para lalo kong mafeel ang music.

And when I opened my eyes, I saw Kate watching me.

"Oh, you're here? I didn't know na nag pe-painting ka pala dito." I said.

"Yah. I do. So, mag peperform ka pala dito? Great!"

"Yup."

It suddenly became awkward dahil wala nang nagsasalita at tumahimik na ang atmosphere.

I scratched the back of my neck. I don't know what to say or to think of a topic.

"Fishball." She suddenly talked.

"F-Fishball?"

"Yah. You want to go and eat fishball? Masarap yun, I swear."

"But, di ako mahilig sa street foods...."

"Trust me, you'll love it." She smiled and that made me agree to go with her.

They both went out of the school at nag punta sa mga street foods sa tabi ng school nila.

Dumiretso agad sila sa nagtitinda ng fishball.

Pinapanood ni Zander ang bawat galaw ni Kate. Kumuha siya ng plastic na baso at ng stick. Itinusok niya ang fishball na bagong luto pa. Pagkatapos, nilagyan niya ito ng sweet sauce at hinaluan pa ng maanghang na suka.

She turned to him and smiled. "Taste test?" Binigyan niya rin si Zander ng stick para mag hati sila sa fishball.

Zander ate a piece and he nodded his head with a sudden, amused smile. "Wow, I didn't expect na masarap pala toh.." He said.

"So, you're expecting na hindi masarap toh? Sus, favorite ko kaya toh!" Kate said devouring the fishballs.

"Uy, penge naman, wag mo kong ubusan." Zander said trying to get some.

"Ang yaman-yaman mo, tapos hindi ka bumili. It's only P1.00 for 2 fishballs."

"Oh really? Cheap.."

"Yup. Cheap pero pang expensive ang lasa!"

They both laughed and enjoyed sharing the food together.

ZANDER'S POV

This is my first time spending a great time with Kate.

Minsan lang kami mag bonding ng ganito. Dahil, hindi naman kami masyadong nag uusap before.

I looked at her. Did she really like me? I looked deeply into her eyes. If you just look closely to her and take time to observe her, you would realize how beautiful she is.

Her beautiful dark eyes, her long and perfectly curved eyelashes, ang matangos niyang ilong, her rosy cheeks, pink lips, and shiny long hair na abot sa waist niya.

She's the girl I never noticed before. She's the girl who fell in love with me. She's the girl with a bright smile standing right beside me.
