Amelia's Pov♦
"Don't forget, the dinner is in less than four hours. Dress your best." my mother says walking away from my bedroom door with her heels hitting the floor.
We just moved from London to Sydney, we're always on the move. My dad owns a huge company and has signed to be business partners with Mr. Hood.
Mr. Hood and his family were coming over for dinner. (P.s I'm making Calum an only child bc having a sibling for him in this story would be pointless bc no parts ok)
I wasn't looking forward to it. I knew it was going to absolutely boring. But I had to put on my best smile.
My entire life my parents have always told me, "We have to present people with the perfect children."
So I had to be 'perfect.'
My 22 year old brother, Jeremiah was honour roll straight A student his entire life. And is now in medical school.
My 19 year old sister Philisophy is on her way to being a lawyer.
Let's just say the bars set pretty high for me..
It's up to me to become a doctor or lawyer as well.
Even though I really want to be an Theatrical Teacher.
But that's not acceptable.
I facetimed my best friend from London for about two hours then decided to get ready for this dinner.
I put "Things You've Never Done" by Passenger on a replay while I was in the shower.
I put on my light pink hoop skirt, and white fitting t-shirt on and tucked it into my skirt. I put on my gold heels that my mums making me wear and my gold accessories. I put my long brunette hair into a ballerina bun on top of my head. I put on eyeliner and made it into a small wing and added mascara to my green eyes. Put some blush over my pale-ish skin and then applied pink lip gloss.
Okay I never really dress up like this. I'm usually a dark skinny jeans and band T's kind of gal. But my parents laugh at that wardrobe.
So here I am.
It was round 6 o'clock and I headed downstairs. "You look ravishing Amelia." my mother smiled, she wore her black dress and white pearls necklace and earrings and hand her hair up as well.
Dad was in a nice suit and dark blue tie.
I felt ridiculous.
If these people come in casual clothing I'll jump out the nearest window I will.
Mine wasn't too fancy though. I tried to make it look cute casual. I hope.
The doorbell rang and I stood awkwardly by my chair. I heard my father greeting.
My dad walked in followed by a nice looking couple, dressed up just as much as my parents might I add, they both shook mine and mothers hands. Then a guy walked in behind them.
We made eye contact all the way until he was on the other side of the kitchen to where my mum was.
He looked to be my age, and he was extremely attractive. Dark eyes and hair, tan skin. Fit body. Black skinny jeans and a button up dark purple shirt.
He grinned at me and that's when I knew he was a player. I knew guys like this. I wasnt going to let him play me. I won't get played twice.
I snapped back out of my thoughts when Mr. Hood shuck his hand out. "Nice to meet you." he smiled.
I nodded and smiled back, same with Mrs. Hood. "Hello, you are absolutely gorgeous."
"Thank you." I smiled.
Then the guy walked up to me, he stuck his hand out and smirked. I took his hand and felt heat rise in my face. "Pleasure to meet you.." he said slow and low.
"You too.." my voice accidentally whispered.
My dad walked over and set his hand on my shoulder. "Hoods, Amelia. Amelia, this is Calum."
I nodded and took my seat.
Dinner was nice. Calum and I didn't talk much, just made eye contact a lot.
Mr. Hood set his napkin down and sighed. "Well, let's talk business!"
Calum did a quiet groan and I looked at my parents in pain
My parents were strict but they had some sympathy for me.
"Amelia why don't you show Calum your collections of, stuff." my mum suggested.
"Um.." I was a little embarrassed.
Calums mum smiled. "Wonderful idea. Calum." she nodded towards the stairs.
He got out from his seat and stood and waited for my lead.
I awkwardly walked up the stairs. And entered my bedroom. It looked nice considering it was just finished and unpacked.
"So, let's see this collection."
I blushed. "Um I don't really know what she was talking about.."
He walked over to my desk and looked threw my photo album. "Sure you do. Everyone collects something, sometimes you don't even know it."
I frowned. "I don't know it then.."
He sighed. He looked over at my shelf and saw books, CDs, movies, and band T's. He chuckled. "There's no girls like you around here."
"What do you mean.?"
"You collect band T's. Old band T's too. You have classic movies. Classic CDs. Nice keyboard in your closet my the way."
I looked over at my closet and saw it was opened.
"Why is it boxed up like that?"
I looked down. "I don't play, anymore."
"Why not?"
"Reasons."
Calum turned around and walked over to me. "I'm interested in you."
I raised my eyebrows. "Excuse me?"
He came closer. "I can usually read people pretty easily, but you, you're difficult. I want to know more about you. You're a challenge though I can tell."
I backed up a little. "What are you talking about..?"
He came closer. "I found what I've been looking for."
"You're scaring me.." I said with a heavy breath while he slowly backed me into the wall. He lifted my hand and kissed it likes he's left an important piece onto my skin.
"You're mine. Forever, and ever." he whispered. And with that he got up and walked away, like nothing even happened
