Amelia's Pov ♦

My parents set up a 'family meeting' the next morning in the dinning room.

"Good morning Amelia." my mother said.

"Good morning."

"Sit."

I sat.

My dad cleared his throat and opened up the newspaper. "Your mother and I will be doing some business in America for a while. Might take longer than we want. But we might stop by and visit sometime. We'll be back for sure at the end of summer."

Tears escaped from my eyes. "You're leaving me here all summer!?"

My mum shushed me. "Amelia you're always home alone what's the problem?"

"The problem? You move me to Sydney then leave! I don't know anyone here! What am I suppose to do!? You're so selfish-"

"Amelia!" my mum glared at me. "I know it's upsetting but it's something that must be done. Alright? Now, we've spoken to the Hoods and Calum has agreed to show you around. Okay."

"Calum?? No way." I slumped in my seat.

My parents have never cared about me. It hurt..

"Fine have it your way. We have to pack."

And with that they got up and walked away.

I got up and ran to my room and slammed the door. I grabbed my journal and sat on my window seat. The tears became too much that I dropped the journal and just sat and cried.

I heard a cracking sound at my window. I wiped my tears quickly sniffled and looked at out the window.

Calum was tossing pebbles at my window.

I opened my window and he smirked at me.

He started climbing the little fence with grass on it and hopped inside my room causing me to flinch back.

"Hey."

"Hi.."

"Have you been crying?"

I wiped under my eyes and raised an eyebrow at him. "No.."

"You can't lie to me Amelia."

"You don't know me."

He sighed. "I heard your parents are leaving, they asked me to hang with you."

"Well no thank you. I'd rather be alone."

"Another lie."

"Shut up."

He chuckled. "I'd like to spend time with you."

"I'll pass. Okay? I've dated guys like you. You're nothing but heartbreak."

He grabbed his chest pretending he was in pain. "Ouch.."

I rolled my eyes.

"I'm taking you out Amelia. And whether you like it or not, you're mine."

My spine shivered. "Wh.. Why do you keep saying that?"

He voice got slow and low. "Because it's true."

"Why can't you bother some other girl.."

"I want you. So I'll have you."

I was about to comment on that when I hear a knock on my door I walked over to it and before opening asked "Who is it?"

"Dad."

I turned back to tell Calum to hide, but he was already no where in sight. I ran to the window and looked down. He was no where to be seen.

Creepy..

I opened the door, and my dad walked in. "I'm sorry we're leaving ya hangin kiddo. I really am."

"It's okay dad. I mean I made one friend at Art centre so, shouldn't be too bad."

"That's my girl."

He walked out and I searched my room for Calum.

He really was mysterious..
