7. Rooftop

Amelia's Pov ♦

When I got home I went straight for the shower.

When I gout out I got dressed in comfy clothes and decided to make some coffee.

My phone went off and I quickly answered. "Hello?"

"Thank god you answered."

"Hi Michael."

"I thought you'd be mad at me."

I was confused. "What for?"

"For last night..?"

"Um.. Yeah I don't remember anything. I don't even know how I ended up at Calums house I woke up-"

"You went to Calums house?"

"Like I said, don't know how I got there but I woke up there."

"Hey I'll call you later."

And with that he hung up.

I decided to call Catherine.

The phone rang and I heard a loud scream threw the phone. "You slept with Calum!!"

"What!? No!" I protested. "Where did you hear that from??"

"Luke told me that you spent the night at Calums."

How did her boyfriend know? "No Catherine, well yes, I mean- I woke up there but nothing happened. He tried to take me home but the house was locked up.

"Thank god! Michaels pissed." she said.

I don't see why.. "I don't remember shit.."

"I don't really either.."

"I'm gonna get some rest."

"Okay, later."

"See ya.."

I was so confused as to what was going on with life. Honestly what the hell.

I decided a nap would help out, I went upstairs and laid down until I fell asleep.





I woke up in the coziest position. I didn't want to move. I opened my eyes and screamed. "What are you doing here!?"

Calum was sitting on my bed laughing. "I told you I'd be seeing you tonight."

"Calum this isn't funny.. How did you get in here?"

"Front door?"

"You can't come into strangers homes and watch them sleep."

He scotched closer to me making my legs curl. His voice got low. "You, are definitely not a stranger Amelia."

"St-still.."

"Go on, get dressed."

"No."

"Amelia yes. I'm taking you out."

"No. You can't tell me what to do."

His voice got strong and angry yet calm. "Get ready. Now. I don't want that stubborn attitude."

I was shocked yet I liked when he was in control. I couldn't tell if I was scared of him, creeped out, or turned on. He was too mysterious..





I made Calum get out and I put on a sundress, army jacket, and combat boots.

I walked out and Calum was standing there. "Happy?"

He smirked. "Very. Glad you listen. Let's go."

I wanted to protest and stay but felt obnoxious doing so.

I followed him outside and into his car.

We sped off and drove in silence.


We showed up at a fancy hotel. "Calum what the fuck! What kind of girl do you think I am. Take me home. Right now. I'm serious Calum-!"

"Shhh. I'm not getting us a room be quiet and follow me."

I did as I was told curiously waiting to see what he did bring me here for.

I walked inside and felt totally underdressed.

Calum was in dark skinny jeans and a black button up shirt though so we were equally dressed.

He took me to a door that said EXIT and we walked up some stairs.

Many stairs later he opened another door, I walked ahead and saw lights everywhere. We were on top of the building. "Oh my god.." I whispered.

He walked up behind me and set his hands on my hips an his lips close to my ear. "Do you like it?"

I couldn't speak. All I could do was shake my head up and down slowly. I felt on top the world, overlooking part of the city. It was truly beautiful

" I come up here all the time to think. you're the first person I've ever, brought up here Amelia. I came up here the night I met you. I thought about you for hours."

"Wh-why?"

"I've told you, you are much different from most girls. I want to get to know you. What you love, what you hate, your past, your future. Everything. I can't figure it out. I want to hear you talk about everything you're passionate about. I want to hear about your dreams., your biggest fears."

Not even my parents knew these things about me. Why Calum cared so much I had no clue, and maybe I'd never know. But all i knew is that he cared, and that's all I've ever wanted from someone.
