16. Memories

Amelias Pov

My tears were all over the place.

Michael got up and shoved Calum, Calum not flinching at all. Michael stormed past him and out the front door. "Fuck you Calum. Fuck you." he slammed the door shut and ran off.

Luke scratched his head awkwardly. "I-"

I was growing impatient. "Someone tell me what the hell is going on!" I hissed.

Calum inched closer while I inched backwards.

"Amelia.." he whispered like he hadn't said my name in years. "We wanted to tell you, we all wanted to tell you."

"Then tell me!"

The front door flies open and it's Catherine. "Who spilled the beans?" she giggled.

Luke walked over to her, "Catherine stop. You got what you wanted let's go."

Cat pushed him aside. "Oh no. I'm not satisfied yet. Go ahead Calum, tell her everything."

Calum squinted his eyes closed then opened them and his eyes stabbed into mine. "You were born here. You and I, all of us. we all grew up here, together."

"No.." My mind was racing, but was still being blocked by a screen of blur.

"You just turned fourteen.. we were all hanging out. you and I , we were inseparable. I saw you every day. Michael always liked you. Ya we were only fourteen but, I swear I loved you then. Cat hated you, you hated Cat. she got into Michaels head saying how it was Amelia and Calum, not Amelia and Michael. That night, I - kissed you, it was your first kiss." Calum looked down and chuckled. slowly bringing his finger to his lips.

"Get to the good stuff-" Catherine yelled.

Calum turned and gave her a glare. "Cat thought a prank would be funny. I left to go home and you stayed in the shack, like always. Cat, she threw a fire cracker inside and..you fell hard trying to get out. You have stitches, on the side of your head.."

I lifted my hand up and moved my fingers around. I gasped from what I'd felt. "I don't believe it, any of it. it doesn't make any sense-"

"No one knows that Cat did it. Not even Michael or Ashton. I, I took the blame. That's what Michaels been wanting to tell you. that I set you on fire."

I looked at Cat. "How could, someone be so cruel?"

"You made my life hell." she spat.

"Cat! Just, shut up." Luke spoke out. "You're the biggest, bitch that I've ever met. Calum took the blame because he felt sorry for you, I'm still with you because you're crazy and I'd feel guilty if you did something stupid."

Everyone's eyes got big. "I'll show you crazy Hemmings." she laughed. "I will show, all of you. just wait." she stomped out the front door.

Calum ignored it going straight back to the story, "you were in a comma for 6 months.. and.  here's the hard part Amelia.. your parents, when they found out they rushed to the hospital, they were scared and worried,..they weren't focused ... your parents got in an accident."

"Oh my god." I said clenching my chest, wishing I could reach for my heart.

"They didn't make it.."

I gasped. "Wh- what!?"

"Your parents are,actually your godparents. I'm so sorry.. when you woke up they packed your stuff and you moved in with them in London. your memory kept coming and leaving, it took a year when you got back to normal. You woke up just confused, like you'd had a dream."

I felt faint. it was all lies it had to be.

Calum had a tear, rolling down his cheek. "And the hardest part..-" he said choking on words. "was not being able to say goodbye to you." he looked away. "Your dad or.. you know, he got a job here, they weren't going to take it but I begged them to. and now you're here.."

Calum stepped towards me with tears in his eyes. "Now you know the truth."

A/N: Sorry if this confusing, unrealistic, or something. I honestly have been winging the story from the start so I apologise.
