Grimoire's Party

I stood I front of the mirror, fixing my tie. Since it was a classy party, I decided to go with a black tuxedo with a crimson red dress shirt. The tie was also black and my shoes were polished to its shiniest way, thanks to one of the maids. I didn't put on my bandana, though I felt I should've to cover my ears. There was an inside pocket in the blazer, so I put my knife in there, just in case. To top it off, I tipped down my black fedora just to look classy.

I stepped out of my room and headed downstairs, where Silas was waiting for me. Nodding, he led me to the vehicle where I entered the back seat.

"Where would you like to go, Master Lycas?" The chauffeur asked.

"To the Grimoire House, please." I replied.

The chauffeur nodded, pulling out of the driveway and down the road. I ran the plan through my head over and over again; locate Hades, kill him, and get out quickly. It'd be simple if there wasn't going to be over five hundred people around plus an evil Guild Master as a target.

Luckily, Hades won't have the Seven Kin of Purgatory to protect him. That doesn't mean there aren't others, however. He could always have someone following him in case that someone, a.k.a me, tried something dangerously threatening.

The car came to a stop, right outside a large guild hall. The place was possibly as big as Fairy Tail's guild hall. It was an ancient castle that you'd read in an old storybook. There was a drawbridge and everything!

As I crossed the bridge and into the entrance, I immediately knew that this was going to be hard. The place was filled with men and women of all ages dressed fancy and ready for the party to begin. I had to try and not make myself noticed, otherwise this would have been for nothing.

Now, where would an evil old man be in a place like this?

As if to read my mind, a figure appeared on the balcony, looking down on everyone. Immediately I knew that it was Hades, the eyepatch gave it away. He wore a red shirt that was tight, revealing his surprisingly toned muscles, accompanied by a black blazer and black pants. His dress shoes were brown and polished so that they shined in the reflected light.

"Welcome all," Hades' boisterous voice rang out. "Thank you for your time and interest in coming tonight. I hope you enjoy yourselves and feel free to look around, the members will gladly help you if needed."

On cue, several men and woman stepped out from the crowd and stood alongside their Master. I frowned, noticing that there were at least five people that he kept close to him, not to mention the other members of the guild.

When Hades turned around to leave, I saw how the mood of the said members went from relaxed to alert in a matter of seconds. Clearly they were expecting somebody....

Shit.

I turned around just in time to see a red-headed guy step through the crowd and towards my direction. On instinct, I faded and appeared behind him, dragging him off into a spare room. Throwing him across the floor, I propped the door with a chair so no one could get in.

Facing the man, I took time to study him. His hair was pulled back I a man-bun type thing. He wore a white sweater along with khaki pants on. The brown-ness of his eyes shown with irritation.

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"Shouldn't I be asking that," he countered. "After all you are in my guild hall."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Shadow Dragon's Bind!" Shadows leaped from my body, engulfing the guy head to toe. As the shadows covered his mouth, he panicked due to lack of air. Suddenly, the shadows covered his entire body and disintegrated into thin air.

I removed the chair and exited the room, clearing my throat in a gentleman-type manner. Maybe this was going to be easier than I thought?

I looked around to see that no one paid attention to my upcoming presence. Good, that means that no one suspects what I'll be doing. I don't need people getting suspicious about this situation what so ever.

Luckily, I remembered that after Hades left the balcony, he went towards a back hallway to the left. What door he went in, I don't know. But it shouldn't be that hard.....should it?

Blending in with the crowd, I made my way up a set of stairs that was off to the right. The top of the balcony was just as crowded as it was downstairs. As I slipped passed people while trying to be polite, I looked around to see if I could guess correctly what door Hades went through.

Well, time for guessing.

I opened the first door to my left only to find a vacant room with a desk that I could only assume as a possible office. There wasn't much to see honestly. Closing the door, I continued to proceed with my plan. I knew for a fact that it was on the left side of the hallway.

I went for the next room and found a group of older people chatting about and enjoying the party. I frowned in irritation, know the situation is getting confusing and frustrating. You'd think it would be easier to find an old douche that can't see through his right eye.

This was gonna take forever...

Are. You. Fucking. Serious...

I searched the entire place and still couldn't find the old prick! How can someone like him just disappear?

This man was freaking Houdini if I ever saw him.

By now, it seems as if more and more people are showing up rather than leaving while the night progresses. I don't know it that's a good thing or not...

I didn't know what time it was, but finally people had started leaving. I faded into the shadows with Shadow Dragon Slaying Magic to make my presence literally disappear. I also noted that there were surprisingly very familiar faces at the party that I recognize from previous job requests, but that's not the point.

Once everyone had cleared away, there were only the maids and butlers who cleaned the place after events like this, I assumed. I reappeared from the shadows, but decided to disguise myself as a butler too. With a quick chant, I immediately turned into a man with blonde hair and bright blue eyes in a three piece black and white tuxedo. My body was the same so all I had to do was leave my fedora, which I hung on the coat rack.

Two other butlers were heading down the hall and, taking that as my chance, I followed them. After the wait, I finally found where Hades had been. He retired to his room early, exhausted from the party. We entered and the main butler bowed deeply after place in a tray of food on the desk.

Hades nodded and said, "Thank you, that is all for now."

After another bow, the two left once Hades had situated himself in his bed.

I took my opportunity and quickly taking to the shadows, turning back to normal.

I waited in the dead silence of the night. Haha, that's funny and ironic; 'dead silence'. Get it, because I'm going to kill him and it's as silent as the dead?

....Nothing?

Whatever.

Y'all ain't no fun. Anyways, back to the serious situation happening.

The sounds of snoring confirmed my suspicions about him because my awake. I decided I wasn't going to use the knife, only because it would make a mess of the place. Breathing steadily, I readied myself for what was next.

Hades, this is your end.
