It's Never Easy

Glaring at the silhouette of Hades in his bed, I jumped up and punched him square in the chest. The force was so great, it sent the bed crashing through the floor, landing in the middle of an abandoned room.

The dust and debris finally settled and the bed laid crumbled to pieces, except with no Hades. I looked around, wondering where a man like him could've escaped to with such speed.

"Did you really think that would be enough to kill me?!"

Shit, spoke too soon.

I looked up to see Hades standing on the floor above, arms crossed with an overly cocky grin.

"It's about time, Lycas." He challenged. "I was starting to think you wouldn't come."

"What do you take me for, a child?" I retorted.

Hades stopped for a moment. "Why, yes I do."

I frowned. "Shut the hell up old man!"

I jumped up and uppercutted him in the jaw, sending him crashing into the ceiling with a thunderous clap. Debris crumbled from the indented cracks underneath Hades as he struggled to get out. Vanishing, I reappeared in front of him, gripping his throat and slamming him to the ground.

Landing on a ceiling beam, I crouched down looking at the crater where Hades laid. I tilted my head when I noticed that there was a dark aura surrounding his shadowed figure. My eyes widened when Hades shot up from the crater, gripping onto the back of my collar and throwing me through the ceiling. By now, my tux was torn to shreds, leaving me in my grey undershirt and black dress pants.

While I was suspended in midair, I caught a glimpse of what truly shocked my. Hades' hair was standing up in gravity defying ways, the eyepatch was no longer their, revealing his Eye Magic, Demon Eye. His ears were now pointed like an elf's along with his sharp-toothed snarl.

Shadows trailed behind Hades as he charged towards me with a fist covered with what could only be described as flames from a devil's aura. However, as his fist appeared in front of my face, I countered his attack. Clenching his fist in my hand, I smothered out his unknown abilities with my own.

Immense power coursed through my veins as I summoned forth my true nature as a Dragon Slayer. My hair spiked up while black scales appeared from my arms to my face. I opened my eyes, revealing my purple irises with slitted pupils. "Universal Dragon Mode!"

I grinned as my fists lit aflame with blue fire. "Universal Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Demon Sage Combination!" Moving swiftly, I hit Hades in the chest, stomach and face repeatedly. With a final kick, I sent him soaring down to the ground and crashing into the earth, creating massive waves of debris from impact.

Suddenly, a magic circle appeared below me, chains snaking out as if they were alive.

Hades hollered, "Chain Magic: Bind!" The chains then closed in on me, wrapping around my arms and legs to hold me in place. I struggled against the chains, but with each attempt to break free, it only tightened its grip on me.

Another magic circle appeared above me, but this time red. Hades appeared floating several yards away, but I could clearly see the grin on his face. "You're good, but not good enough. Now, die!!! Amaterasu!"

The circle caved in on itself, creating a massive explosion that threw me back and deep into the ground, cracks and crevices crawling out from behind me like a spider's web. I grunted, trying to free myself from the ground. Every time I tried, however, pain would shoot up my back and cause my vision to go fuzzy.
