I arrived at the guild with Lucy, but no one was fighting or drinking or....nothing! Okay, did someone abduct the entire guild and replace them with look-a-likes because this ain't normal people. Everyone was gathered around the center of the guild.
"What's going on?" I asked Gray.
Gray turned around. "Gramps is picking the members of the guild for a vacation. He picks the ones who have worked the hardest and gives them a trip to Fiore's greatest resort."
Makarov was standing on top of the bar. "Alright, listen up brats! These are the members that are going to the Magnolia Grand Resort."
It seems like everyone was holding their breaths.
"Natsu, Wendy, Erza, Gray, Gajeel, Juvia, Levy, Romeo, Lisanna, Mira, Laxus, Lucy and Lycas." He finished.
Lisanna tapped her chin. "Wow, so the girls worked harder than the guys?"
Natsu, of course, butted in. "What do you mean by that, Lisanna? We work harder than you girls!"
Makarov stopped the argument. "Now the train leaves at 10:30 am sharp so be there at 10:00 tomorrow. Now, let's party!"
As they were told, everyone cheered and started drinking, laughing, and fighting. Natsu started the fight because Gray 'accidentally' spilt beer on him. Geez, these guys and their ill temper. They acted like children, but it was funny. Or at least until Gray bumped into Erza, knocking her strawberry cheesecake.
Bad mistake...
It literally looked like a dark aura surrounded Erza as she stood up, eyes red. "You. Ruined. My. Cake!!!" She grabbed Gray and Natsu by the neck and threw them across the guild, causing them to smash into the opposite wall. Luckly, Mira came by with another slice of cake.
I shook my head. "Stupid move, Gray." I looked over to where Lucy was sitting. She was with Levy and Wendy, talking about the trip tomorrow. I couldn't help but chuckle, seeing Lucy excited. I wouldn't blame her, we all deserved it, but I never thought that I'd make it. I mean, I'm new at the guild and I hadn't been with Fairy Tail for more than a month.
I never noticed Makarov until he cleared his throat. "Is something the matter, Lycas?"
I looked down at him, literally. "Oh, I was just thinking about something."
He raised an eyebrow. "Does it have to deal with why I picked you?"
"How did you know?" I gaped.
"I know my children very well," Makarov replied. "but I chose you for a reason. You are very special and you've been going through many things, I can tell. I won't pressure you to tell me because I trust that you have your reasons. I see potential in you and plus everyone needs to relax."
I smiled. "Thanks Dad-Master! I meant Master!!"
He laughed. "It's okay, my boy. Call me whatever you want."
"Ok," I said. "We'll see you in the morning!"
I walked over to Lucy and kissed her goodbye. I knew she wanted to stay and talk with her friends, so I wouldn't make her leave. I stepped out of the guild and headed up the street. Master's right, I needed to relax. This vacation will be good for me, hopefully.
I spoke too soon because something moved out from my peripheral vision. I glanced over to see the outline of a figure disappear.
