I Spoke Too Soon....

Within the past week after Val and I decided to buy a house, everything seemed pretty relaxing. I'd seen a nice house that wasn't far from where the apartment complex was, so that would mean a short walk to get to the guild.

The house was a one-story, big enough for me and Val, that had three bedrooms with a large kitchen and living area. The bathroom had a large bathtub with a built in shower head. Outside there was a decent size of land with a massive group of trees that were off towards the back end of the house.

I plopped down on the bed on my back, finished unpacking one of the last boxes. Maybe life can actually be simple now....just maybe.

Val came in smiling, laying right on top of me. I chuckled and held her closer, her snuggling up to my chest. I like these moments, I really do.

Whoa, major deja vu.....creepy.

"We've finally finished," Val said, breaking the silence.

I chuckled. "If you're referring to the move, then yes we are finished."

Val sat up to look me in the eyes. "What else would I be talking about?"

I just looked at her, because I knew that she knew what I was talking about. After a few seconds I saw realization set in and she frowned at me.

"You don't need to be worrying about that anymore. That's done and over with so there's no more of it, period." Val urged.

I sighed. "I know. There's just a small part of me that feels like something...is missing. That's all." Val sat up in my lap, while I rested my head on her shoulder.

She played around with one of my fingers, holding it in her hand. "I don't want to see you be bothered by something that's done and over with. I love you so much Ly, and I want you to be happy."

"I know," I kissed her head and wrapped my arms around her sides. "And I love you too. I'm sorry I worried you so much. I'll stop thinking about it, for you."

She smiled and we sat there in silence, enjoying the quietness of the room.

Afterwards, we left to the guild to hang out with everyone there.

Val was right, there was nothing for me to worry about. Hades was dead and Grimoire Heart was disbanded thanks to Jellal and his guild, Crime Sorciere. So that means that there's no one that could be a possible threat....right?

Then again, what happened to Iris and Serena? When me and Val encountered them at Yoshimura Falls, I did defeat them but then they disappeared. Iris may possibly be dead after....that but Serena is a different story.

And what about that Zeref character? Based on what I've heard, he's really bad news. There was a reason Death Row had tried to make me a weapon, but I never found out. There was also those times when Hades spoke to me telepathically...

I'm just overthinking everything. I don't need to focus on something that may not even be true.

We got to the guild and we were greeted with everyone crowding the bar. Val looked at me expectantly, waiting for an answer. I just shrugged for I didn't have a clue to what was going on.

I walked over and made my way to the front. What I saw was very unexpected.

It was Avia Nanasaki, Himiki's maid....
