15 - Graduation and Important News

A MONTH LATER

Today is the day. I can finally say that I graduated high school and that I actually survived. Lachlan had gone back to Australia about two months ago and I had no idea when was coming back

"I'M GRADUATING TODAY!"I yelled.

It was about six in the morning, which gave me two hours to get ready before I made my last entrance into the school. Most schools usually had the graduation ceremony around noon, but our school was giant so just listing off all the names would take three hours and then we gave out some awards, which took another hour. To be honest i don't know why we gave out awards, it was just school tradition. 

I loosely curled my hair and took a section from each side of my head and braided it back to create the 'perfect tumblr hairstyle' as Lia said it was. (PICTURE ABOVE). And since it was kind of a 'fancy' occasion I put on a champagne eye shadow, did a bit of winged eyeliner, and finished off with mascara and natural looking falsies. To be honest, I usually didn't wear more than mascara, but I figured I should try to look nicer than normal, even though it SUCKS. 

By the time I had finished that whole ordeal it was 7:15, which means it was time that my mom get her lazy butt out of bed. And since I'm not a very nice person, I decided that jumping up and down on the bed even more was a great way to get her up. I was still in shorts and a t-shirt because I didn't want to put on my dress until after I ate, so it was completely appropriate for me to jump.

"MOM WE NEED TO EAT!!"

"I'm up Alex," She smiled.

While she got up, I went into my bedroom and called Lachlan, our time zones were completely different, I'm pretty sure it was ten at night where he was. But surprisingly, he picked up.

"Hi Lachy!"

"Hello Alex, what's up?" Lachlan said an oh my lord his voice was super attractive before he was going to bed.

"I said I hated school, but I kind of don't want to leave. After today there is no more relying on my mom for everything. I'm going to have to move out soon. I kind of wish I had one more day there."

"I understand what your saying completely, but you don't have to move out right away. I still live with my parents half the time. And who knows, maybe you and I will end up moving in together." 

"But you don't think it's too soon. I mean, we haven't known each other for a long time. Plus none of us have the money to really buy anything, hell I can barely afford to rent an apartment."

"Alex, I've known you for like two months and I sleep over there a lot, I don't think it isn't too soon to move in together. Plus, I have a savings account that I'm supposed to use to purchase a house with. I mean it would have to be in a while, when I come back."

"You know, we have time to figure all of this out. I mean you just turned twenty one and I'm almost twenty. I don't think you want to settle down so soon."

"Alex, I have the girl of my dreams. There's no reason to go out looking for something better when there is nothing better. Now, go finish getting ready. Call me after the whole ceremony is over."

Everyone had officially graduated. But as I was walking up onto the stage, I saw my whole class in front of me. Who knows when I would see a lot of those people again. The teachers who had made a major impact on my life, I'd more than likely never see them again. I saw Lia, Jc, Connor, Troye, and Kian, the people who I hadn't know for a very long time, but they made a major impact on my life forever. As much as I complained about school, it took everything in me to not cry. I might've gone through hell in high school, but I made so many memories there, I never wanted to leave.

After talking with Lia and Jc, I called Lachlan. I heard someones phone start to ring and I look up and about ten feet away was Lachlan.  In that moment as I watched him walk towards me, I saw my future. And you may think it's way too soon for me to see a future with him, but he's what I've waited for my entire life. He's the only guy that treats me like a princess and I know that he is the one for me. When he was about seven feet away, I ran towards him and jumped into his arms, kind of like I did when I told him how I felt about him.

"WHEN DID YOU GET HERE?!"

"Alex, I got back yesterday. I wanted to surprise you so while you were at school I stopped by your house and asked your mom if she would save a seat for me," Lachlan smiled.

"MY MOM WAS IN ON THIS!!"

"That's besides the point. Alex, you look beautiful!"

"SO WHEN I TALKED TO YOU ON THE PHONE YOU WERE WAKING UP, NOT GOING TO BED? YOU'RE SUCH A JERK!"

"Alex, I'm moving here full time. I talked to my parents and all my stuff will get flown over here. I'm staying in their house for a bit and they said you could move in with me. They also said that if we want to, they'll help us buy a house."

"Wait, are you serious? LACHLAN THIS IS GREAT! Oh and I have something to tell you later, when we're alone. It's kind of important."

"How 'bout we leave now? Unless you want to stay here longer, which I totally understand."

"NO WAY. Let me go say goodbye to everyone first."

We were on the way to my house and I was so nervous to tell Lachlan, my hands were shaking. He pulled into the driveway and I slowly got out of my car and headed inside to my room with Lachlan following me.

We both sat on my bed and I grabbed his hands.

"Lachlan, please don't leave once I tell you this," I said with a very shaky voice.

"I won't Alex, it can't be that bad," He smiled.

"Well, about two weeks ago I started getting really sick in the morning. I told my mom about it and she wanted me to take a pregnancy test. She knows everything that happened that night we watched the movies with everyone, so she thought I should take one. I took five tests Lachlan, and I'm pregnant, please don't leave."

Lachlan looked at me and tears started falling onto his face. And right away I thought he didn't want it. I figured he'd tell me to get an abortion and leave me which is why I waited to tell him this.

"Alex, this is great. I mean we're starting our family earlier than we both expected to, but we are both responsible adults who can handle this. I'm really happy."

"You mean you're not going to leave me?"

"Alex, you're the only one for me. Plus, I'm not the type of guy who just drops a girl when he figures out they're pregnant. Alex, you make me happy and I've wanted to have kids with you, I just thought you would think I'm weird for wanting kids, but my secrets out."

"But Lachlan, it's only been a month since we started dating."

"Officially Alex. I'm saying we basically knew we were meant for one another the day we met. This has been about two months. And if we can get through what we've already been through, I think we can accomplish becoming parents."

I threw myself onto Lachlan and wrapped my arms around him. I knew I chose him for a reason. He's the only one for me.

"I love you Alex," He whispered.

"I love you too."
