Cher Lloyd's POV.

“Where the hell are we going Demi?” I asked while we were walking to her car.
“You'll see, don't worry. I think you're gonna like it.”
“Please tell me nothing happened.” I whispered and Demi stopped in her tracks. She turned around and looked at me intently.
“Nothing happened. I just wanted to do something for you.” She said making me blush. “You know, this.” She said gesturing all of me. “Is exactly why I found you this special.”
“Come on, there's nothing that special, especially with the way I'm dressed.” She smiled weakly and nodded.
“Nope, you're perfect.” She winked. “Can we go now?”
“Of course.” I said smiling and she grabbed my hands. We walked to her car and she started driving.
“By the way, how's Cheryl doing?” She asked me gently.
“She's good. We agreed that we would talk, she's supposed to call me.” I answered and she nodded.
“I'm happy for you two.”
“Yeah?”
“Yep, I mean what you have is pretty rare. You've this bound which clearly shows how much you care about each other.” She said smiling.
“Maybe.”
“Oh come on, it's true. People can't stop talking about your friendship but it never broke you apart.”
“It did.” I said and she shook her head.
“Nope. She's right here and everything's going to be fine now.” I stayed silent, I was not so sure about the future between Chezza and I. I was still a bit worried about it. We just started talking again so it was very fragile. “Stop worrying okay? You had a long day and tonight it's only about us.” Demi said putting her hand on my thigh.
“I'm totally okay with that.” I put my hand on top of hers and she smiled widely, never taking her eyes off the road.

“Okay, we're here.” Announced Demi as she stopped the car in front of big gates.
“Dems, are we really in front of your former house?” I asked looking at her. We used to go there when she left the rehab centre but she decided to move because this house reminded her of everything she went through. She wanted a new start and thought that her flat would give it to her.
“We are.” She said as the gates opened and she started the engine.
“I thought you sold it.”
“I didn't. I kept it but it's the first time I'm back here.” She whispered and sighed. She finally parked the car and looked at me smiling. “Let's go.” She pecked my lips and got out of the car.
“Are you sure about it?” We were walking to the front door. Demi kept on playing with her hair and sighing. Something she only did when she was nervous. “We can go back to the flat, if you want. We can have a nice night in over there.” I offered but she shook her head and stopped walking.
“No, we won't go back there.” She wrapped her arms around my waist and smiled weakly looking into my eyes. “I've something to show you inside. Plus this place isn't only important for me but I feel like it is also for us.” I stayed silent, waiting for her to continue. I stroked her cheek. “It's the place where our friendship really started.” She said smiling and I nodded. I pecked her lips and she sighed.
“Are you sure about this babe?”
“I am.” She kissed me gently and we started walking again. When she was about to open the door, I put my hand on her shoulder and she looked at me.
“If it's too hard, if you want to go back to the flat, just say the word yeah?”
“It's gonna be okay babe.” She said smiling and opened the door. She took a deep breath and smiled at me again. “Let's go.” She grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers and we entered the house.

We walked in the living room. The place had not changed. It still looked exactly like it did more than 2 years ago. Demi still looked really nervous.
“Babe, it's okay we can go back to the flat.” I said again but she shook her head.
“No way. I have to show you something and I really want to do it here.” She answered looking in my eyes blushing slightly. She pecked my lips and smiled. “I'm gonna go upstairs, I'll be right back. Can you pick something to drink?” She asked me and I nodded. She kissed me again and then walked away. I sighed and turned around, walking to the kitchen. It felt weird being back here. This place held a lot of memories, not only happy ones.

“Demi?” I called as I opened the front door of her large house. I spent the day out with Nadine, just walking in town and doing some shopping. The house was pitch black. I turned the lights on and started looking for Demi. I searched in every room, still not able to find her. I tried to call her phone which rang on her bed. She would never go out without taking it. I sighed and walked back downstairs trying to think of a place where she could be. And that was when it hit me. I opened the window and started walking in her garden. I walked on the fresh cut grass and finally saw her. Her back facing me. She was laying on her back, moving her legs slightly in rhythm. I saw my iPod on her stomach. I sat next to her and grabbed her hand. She opened her eyes wide and jumped in surprise.
“Oh my God Cher! You must have been a ninja or something in another life!” She said laughing. I smiled and shook my head.
“What are you doing there?” I asked. It was a pretty cold day. We were mid-February.
“Just listening to some tracks.” She said without looking at me and she shrugged. “Anyway, when did you come back?”
“I just arrived.” She nodded and I took a closer look at her. “You should go back in. It's freezing cold.”
“You can go. I'm staying here.”
“You honestly think I would let you all alone here only wearing a dress?” I said raising my eyebrows. She finally looked at me and sighed.
“Fine, let's go.” She got up pretty quickly and waited for me to get up too. We walked back in, in silence. Demi was acting weird. She seemed to be hiding something from me. She was always nervous around me when she was trying to keep something from me.
“Demi.” I said when we walked in the house. She stopped and looked at me.
“Yes?”
“Are you okay?”
“I am fine.” She answered and went upstairs. I sighed, running a hand in my hair. I walked to the kitchen. I opened the fridge, nothing had moved since yesterday. I looked in the bin, nothing there too. That was when I understood. Demi did not eat today. I knew this kind of things were still happening, I knew some days were going to be harder than others. But every time she was having a bad day, we ended up yelling at each other. I knew it was not the answer. I knew I had to find a way to help her.
“Demi.” I yelled from downstairs.
“Yeah?” She yelled back.
“Can you come here?” I asked and waited for her. After 5 minutes, she finally walked downstairs and frowned looking at me.
“What's up?”
“Don't ask me, I should be the one who's asking that.” I answered quickly and she sighed.
“What do you want me to do Cher?”
“Maybe saying the truth, it could be a good start.” I snapped.
“I think you've figured out for yourself.” She snapped back. I walked to her and took hold of her hands.
“You didn't eat anything today, did you?”
“No.” She said and let go of my hands. “Are you happy now that I've said it?” She yelled and I grabbed her shoulders.
“Of course I am not.” I yelled back. “Don't you dare think I like seeing you like this.” I said and we stayed silent for a while.
“Why?” She whispered.
“Why what?” I said taking my hands off her.
“Why are you always looking after me? Why are you still here when I spend my time yelling at you?” She whispered and started crying. I wrapped my arms around her neck, hugging her tightly against me.
“I'm still here because I care about you. I won't leave you alone.” I whispered kissing her forehead. We stayed like this until she was not crying anymore. “Can you do something for me?”
“Sure?” She said hesitantly.
“Do you think you can eat something?”
“I'm not hungry Cher.”
“I don't believe you babe.” I said, my arms around her waist. “There's nothing wrong with the way you look. You're perfect.” I said looking into her eyes making her blush. “I'm not stupid, you haven't eaten anything today, you must be starving.” I said and she sighed. “I've an idea.” I dragged her in front of the fridge and she stayed silent.
“What are you doing?” She asked after a while. I did not move, I just stared at her.
“You're going to cook dinner for us, okay?”
“What?”
“Whatever you're having, I'll have the same.” I said smiling weakly. “You're the one in command now. We'll take it slow.” I continued still smiling and Demi smiled back. She started cooking. Since that day, every time Demi felt down about the way she looked and did not want to eat, we would do that. I would tell her that she was beautiful and she would cook something to eat.

“Cher?” I heard Demi called and I turned looking at her. My jaw dropped instantly when my eyes fell on her. She was beautiful. She was wearing a red dress which complimented her curves perfectly.
“Oh my God.” I gasped and Demi blushed. “You look absolutely gorgeous.” I said walking to her.
“You do.”
“I don't, look at you.” I wrapped my arms around her waist and she did the same.
“Shush you, kiss me, will you?” She laughed and I nodded, kissing her softly. “By the way, what were you doing?” She asked laughing. “Weren't you supposed to get us something to drink?” She continued, giggling. I blushed and nodded.
“Got distracted.”
“Really? By what?” She said as she walked past me, to the fridge.
“Just remembering what happened in this room.” I said and Demi nodded quietly. I walked to her, knowing she was about to get emotional. “Look at you now, stronger than ever.”
“Only thanks to you.” She said looking into my eyes making me smile. I pecked her lips and we walked back in the living room with two glasses of wine.
“Where are your crutches?” I asked her finally realizing that she was walking without it.
“Can't we spend the night without them?”
“I suppose we can. But if it hurts, you tell me and I'll go find them.”
“Will do.” She said smiling sweetly. We sat on the couch, next to each other.
“What do you wanna eat?” I asked her after a while of a peaceful silence.
“I was thinking of ordering Chinese?” She suggested and I nodded. We were watching TV when the delivery guys finally arrived. Demi insisted on paying everything. We ate in front of the TV and when we were done, she laid her legs on my lap, both of her hands on her tummy. “I'm more than full.” She said laughing. I smiled at her. “Cher?”
“Mmh?”
“You've been staring at me.” She chuckled making me blush.
“Oh yeah, sorry.” I said embarrassed. She got up and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her, keeping her there. She stroked my neck gently, giving me goosebumps all over my body. “But can you blame me? You look absolutely gorgeous.” I said making her blush. “See, two can play this game.” We laughed slightly and Demi kissed me.
“At least, I can still do that to make sure you're not looking at me when I blush.” She giggled.
“Not really smart to tell me your plans.” I said and she slapped my arm.
“Can you come with me?” She asked me shyly.
“Of course.” I said pecking her lips. We got up and Demi led us to her own little studio. She sat in front of the piano and gestured me to sit next to her, which I did.
“I wrote this song for you. It's going to be on the album but I wanted you to hear it before.” She said, blushing. I smiled and nodded. I could not believe she actually wrote a song for me. It was a big deal. I wrote one for her but Demi was an amazing songwriter. She looked at me, kissed me gently and cleared her throat. “Okay, here we go.” She said taking a deep breath and started playing.

“There's a boy, lost his way, looking for someone to play
There's a girl in the window tears rolling down her face
We're only lost children, trying to find a friend
Trying to find our way back home

We don't know where to go, so I'll just get lost with you
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together right, we fit together right
These dark clouds over me, rain down and roll away
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together like, two pieces of a broken heart

I know where we could go and never feel let down again
We can build sandcastles, I'll be the queen, you'll be my king
We're only lost children, trying to find a friend
Trying to find our way back home

We don't know where to go, so I'll just get lost with you
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together right, we fit together right
These dark clouds over me, rain down and roll away
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together like, two pieces of a broken heart

Now I can lay my head down and fall asleep
Oh, but I don't have to fall asleep to see my dreams
'cause right there in front of me
Right there in front of me

There's a boy, lost his way, looking for someone to play
We don't know where to go, so I'll just get lost again
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together right, we fit together right
These dark clouds over me, rain down and run away
We'll never fall apart, cause we fit together right, we fit together like two pieces of a broken heart

There's a boy, lost his way, looking for someone to play”

She finished singing and looked at me, blushing slightly. She looked at me, expecting some kind of reaction coming from me but I stood still. Completely frozen. I did not have any idea of what I was feeling and how I was feeling. It sure made me feel special but as the time, it made me realize how much she actually cared. I knew we were always sincere about our feelings but this time, she really opened her heart to me. My cheeks were burning. My mouth was slightly open. My body was creating a mind of his own. My heart was beating like crazy. It was the very first I had ever felt this way.
“Cher?” She whispered still looking at me, waiting. I nodded and looked at her. I could totally see that she was nervous. She was playing with her fingers slowly trying to smile at me. I could not help but wrapped my arms around her, pulling her against me. Pulling her as close as I possibly could. I only realized that I was crying when she started rubbing my back and saying soothing things to me, to calm me down.
“I'm sorry.” I said smiling through my tears and she shook her head, wiping my tears away. “This song is absolutely beautiful babe.” I blushed and she did too. “Look at us, all red.” She giggled and kissed my cheek.
“I'm glad you like it.”
“Like it? Are you crazy? I love it!” I said and squeezed her even tighter against me.
“Don't forget, I need to breath.” I laughed and let go of her. We smiled, foolishly at each other. She played with my hair softly. “You must be tired.” She stated and I nodded. She pecked my lips and grabbed my hand, almost dragging me to the bedroom. She opened the door and I gasped when I saw the state of the bedroom. Nothing had changed, everything was exactly where we left it when Demi moved from the house. She played with my fingers gently, bringing me back to reality.
