~...the streets is cold and the beaches is warm...~
"What you making Har?" I asked as I knelt down beside her in the sand.
I decided to take her to the beach today. It was one of her favorite places to go even though Saturday's were the absolute worst days to come to any Miami beach. It was always overly crowded and I wasn't big on all of that shit, but whatever to keep little miss Tiller happy.
"Sandcastles," Harley sang," I made two because I have two homes now. So I need two big castles."
I licked my lips. Harley kills me on the inside when she says stuff like that, but she was just expressing herself and feelings as a kid. I couldn't tame that.
"This one is yours," she said pointing to the biggest one.
"That's so beautiful," I complimented," looks just like my house."
"This one is mommy's because between you and me, it's not as great as yours," Harley whispered against my cheek causing me to laugh.
"Remember that time we went on a plane to Disney World?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Didn't you like it?"
"Uh-huh," Harley agreed as she patted the sand down together tightly.
"You want to go back on a plane with daddy?" I question pulling my cap further down over my eyes to block out the sun.
"Where to?" Harley asked with her pink lips pursed.
"How about we go visit daddy's old home back in Kentucky for a little while?" I suggested.
"Mommy too?"
I shook my head no," Just me and you Harls. Spend some time with me."
Harley sat in the sand with her back to the water contemplating on whether or not she liked the idea of that. I watched the waves die out once they hit the shore until she
finally responded."Ok, I want to go," she answered while knocking down one of the castles.
I smiled as I picked her up in my arms and slung her around. Harley laughed hysterically.
"Thank you little one. Promise you're going to like it."
I had never brought Harley out to the 502 before, but there's a first time for everything right?"Oh my god, that's Bryson!" A female voice squealed approaching us. I quickly sat Harley back down in the sand.
I wasn't in the mood to be bothered but Lord knows I love my fans. I wouldn't be here without em.
"Hi Bryson," the fan girl waved as she jumped up and down with her two friends," Can we get a picture with you?"
"Uh sure. Why not?" I invited them to come closer to take a quick photo-op.
"You're so much cuter in person," one of them grinned once the picture was taken.
"Thanks I guess," I shrugged. I didn't really know how to respond to that.
"When are you going to put out some new music?" One of the girls wished to know," cause it's been almost a year. We miss you."
"Soon. I promise," I answered looking down at Harley. She was listening in to the conversation with wide eyes. It was just now hitting me how long it's been since I've dropped a record. 6 to 8 months almost. That wasn't me at all.
"She's so adorable. I want a daughter," one girl sighed in awe.
"What do you say Harley?"
"Thank you," Harley replied with a big fake smile. This kid.
The fans giggled as they thanked me and left towards the boardwalk. I glared back down at Harley."Why haven't you made any music daddy?"
I rubbed my eyebrows," I've been...I've been busy baby. Daddy's had a bit of trouble trying to make things sound how I want it. That's why I want to go on this trip."
Honestly, my creative juices weren't flowing like they usually do. I needed an inspiration. A muse.
"Come on Harley. Let's go see if we can catch a star fish or turtle or something," I suggested grabbing her by the hand.
"Can we catch a dolphin instead?"
I shook my head at her," We got to start off small, short stuff."
