~...wondering why I don't call you--and its Deja Vu--cause I been here with you...~

"Yeah, he said Thursday was cool," I spoke to Swan through the phone.

"This is so dope nigga! We gone be in the studio with the 6god," Swan squealed like a groupie.

"I know man. It's surreal. Thanks again for watching Harley yesterday for me," I thanked.

"Nigga, we're like brothers. Don't thank me for that minor shit."

I laughed," You right, you right."

"Since you're coming back on the scene, I think you should do some small shows or interviews with people like The Breakfast Club or Sway or Hot 97. Your fans want to hear from you."

"You know I hate interviews," I reminded him," it's not me. I don't like people in my personal business."

"We got to get you back out there though, Tiller," Swan pointed out.

"When I first came out, I didn't have the press to back me up until afterwards. My music did the talking for me. Let it continue to speak for itself."

"I need to hear some new music shit first," Swan responded.

"Ok, I got this idea for that, too," I began,"So, I was thinking about having a song on the album entitled Lou-Ville or just Louisville. Kind of like a part two to 502 Come Up. Thinking it should be the first song on the album because it would just reflect on---"

I was cut of by a call beeping in on my cell. The caller was Naomi.

"Let me hit you back later nigga," I told Swan," Naomi is calling me."

"Oh shit," Swan joked," my nigga getting pussy. Finally!"

"Getting? I been hitting Camille. Ask about me," I smirked before switching calls.

"Bryson?" She asked more than said.

"That's my name," I answered.

"What's up with you?"

"Riding around a bit, what's good?" I asked her.

"Um, I kind of had something to ask you, but I forgot," I could tell she was lying, but I didn't bother to say anything.

"Since we're talking, maybe I could take you out sometime--return the lunch favor thing," I suggested.

What I was trying to insinuate was something more. I don't quite know myself what that "more" was. All I know is that I wanted to spend some more quality time.

I think Naomi is cool as a friend or acquaintance type of person.
I'm not looking for any lovers, at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I was looking for someone--other than Swan--to talk to from time to time. A girl's point of view on some of the things going on with me in my daily life.

I didn't have many female friends like that around me. The ones I did consider to be my "female friends", were the ones that were hired and paid to work for me.

My personality prevented me from making many friends and so did my occupation. It was difficult to tell real from fake every time I came in contact with someone new. That's why I tend to stick with my day ones only. No new friends, right?

"Like a date?"

"Uh...I haven't been on a date in a couple of years. I'm not sure if I want to say all that," I told her upfront.

It's better to be honest from the start than to break a ladies heart.

"I don't blame you, but sure we can do whatever."

"How 'bout a movie?" I offered.

"I would like that very much," Naomi replied.

"You available tonight or...?" I ask.

"Yeah, I get off in an hour or so. Maybe you could pick me up around 6."

"Sounds like a date," I replied checking the time in the car. 3:57," I mean a plan. Uh...a..."

"It's alright, Bryson. I know what you meant. I'll see you then," Naomi chuckled before hanging up on me.

The lyric didn't have to do much of anything with the chapter I just like the song and was listening to it 🙄😂 Don't mind me...
