~...I'm curious, all of a sudden you wanna fuck---why now?...~

"Glad you could come," Naomi greeted me as I sat down at the table with her.

"No problem," I replied as a Japanese waitress appeared at our table.

"Drinks?" The waitress asked in a heavy accent.

"Lemonade," Naomi answered.

"Um...a Coke," I added.

"No Saki? We have Saki special. Two shots ten dollar."

I don't even know what the hell Saki is to be honest.

"Sure why not," Naomi shrugged before the girl walked off with our order.

"What is Saki, exactly?" I asked her twirling my fork in the air.

"A rice fermented Japanese beverage that has tangy liquor in it. Oh, and it's served piping hot."

What in the actual fuck.

"Oh, I don't drink much," I told her.

"It's not bad it's a just a shot. Give it a taste," she urged.

"I might."

"I thought you would've declined my lunch offer," Naomi said.

"Nope, I like to eat," I joked," especially when I don't have to pay."

Naomi laughed," Same here."

"So what are we catching up on exactly?" I ask as the waitress brought out our drinks and the two teacup shaped shots of Saki.

"Life in general. I've always felt bad for taunting you in school."

"So you want forgiveness?" I questioned taking a sip of my Coke.

"Not necessarily. If you do forgive me, it would be nice to know. Although, if you don't, then I'll have to take it with a grain of salt and move on."

"Fine," I clasped my hands together," I forgive you. I don't need any bad vibes coming my way more than they already are for holding on to this."

"Yeah, I heard you're getting divorced by the way. Sorry to hear that," Naomi emphasized.

"I'm not surprised. Everyone seems to know my business before I even know it is my business."

"Sorry, to bring it up."

"It's alright. It would be discussed at some point."

"How's your new album coming along?" She wondered tapping the table with her long, pointy nail,"Any new music?"

I was about to answer when I realized what she was doing. The way she was cornering me was all too familiar. I looked at her dead in her face, but she didn't seem to notice that I had caught on to her little act.

"Are you cross examining me right now?" I asked her firmly, scratching my chin.

"What?" Naomi played confused.
