~...now you wanna say 'what's up?' to me..."

"Ayo, Bryson! Come outside. I'm 'bout to pull up on you, bro," Swan laughed into his cell.

"Uh," I looked at my Casio watch," Alright. I can talk for a minute."

"Oh, are you busy?"

"Nah not yet. I had told my grandma I would go pick up her prescriptions before the pharmacy closes at 4, and its 3:10 now so."

"It won't be long. I got somebody with me I want you to see," Swan explained.

"Who?" I wondered.

We know almost all the same people.

"Why don't you come outside the crib and find out nigga!" He yelled into the receiver before ending the call.

I sighed and got up off the couch.

I guess I'd have to watch the episode from The Boondocks I recorded later.

"Harley," I called her name.

"Huh?" She asked innocently, popping  up around the corner.

"I'm going to be outside if you need me. Don't be loud. Gran is still taking a nap."

Harley nodded and continued to play with her Barbies.

I twisted the knob to the front door and stepped outside for the first time all day.

It was bright and sunny out for sure, but later on it was predicted to rain.

Once I came out, I saw Swan standing next to his car in the driveway.

No one else was in sight.

"What up?" I ask dapping him.

"Not much. I came through to show you who I found. Well not necessarily found. I had talked to him and he came here since he wasn't occupied with anything else. I felt as if he should see you. He wanted to see you and how you're holding up these days."

"Who is it?" I wondered growing irritated.

Swan could sometimes be a long winded talker and get off topic completely, which annoyed me even more because he was doing it right now.

Swan tapped on the front tinted window shield of his Challenger, signaling for whoever it was to come out of the car.

Instantly, the passenger side door opened revealing Neil, my ex-manger and friend.

My mood instantly changed from irritated to disgusted.

I hadn't talked to Neil since he was in my wedding as a groomsmen, which was two years ago.

Neil was my first manager ever and our relationship was like one of a big and little brother. He was the reason I knew the ropes so well in this music business.

He was the chill and fun type of boss.

We were able to bond over certain moments--that was until we fell out.
