~...you a real ass woman and I like it ( I dedicate to you)...~

There was so much tension in the room you could feel it. Better yet you could see it, too.

"You could've just waited like you said you would," I blurted out as I watched Harley and Marlena reconcile.

Mar snarled at me and rolled her eyes.

By now, everyone was in the front room with us. They were just as taken aback as I was to see Marlena, especially Swan.

"Hey you guys," Marlena greeted everyone.

A few waved and mouthed a return greeting and others kept quiet.

"How are you cupcake?" Marlena asked Harley.

"She's fine," I interrupted stepping in between them,"I thought you were only coming if she wasn't."

"Bryson I don't have time to argue with..."

"Well make time!" I told her,"That's not the real reason you're here is it? You didn't even believe that I could take care of my own kid for a couple of weeks, did you?"

"Mommy," Harley whined tugging on Marlena's shirt arm,"Why aren't you wearing a princess dress?"

"Your Daddy didn't tell me you were having a princess party," Marlena frowned at me.

"Because you weren't suppose to be here!"

"Bryson..." I heard Naomi say to soothe me, but I ignored it.

"Who is that?" Marlena asked pointing at her.

"None of your--"

"Daddy's girlfriend Mommy," Harley told her anyways,"Isn't she pretty?"

"Really Bryson? I thought you were working on your new music out here. How are you going to come at me about moving on, but you got some random hoe around my daughter?"

I looked at Marlena as if she had lost her damn mind. She had no reason to be so disrespectful towards someone she didn't even know.

"Who are you calling a hoe?!" Naomi asked slowly approaching us.

Camille grabbed her by the arm.

"Chill," Camille whispered in her ear.

"Why don't we all just get some cake?" Swan suggested.

"That sounds wonderful, Kejuan," Grandma Ann agreed," Come on everybody."

"How would she think you had a girlfriend if she didn't know we were separating?" Marlena fussed poking me in my chest,"We agreed to tell her together!"

"She's smart enough to figure it out on her own...and she did," I told her," and she's not--you know what, fuck you! I ain't got to explain shit to your ass."

"Fine. Fuck you too because I don't need you're explanations. Just keep those checks coming in my mailbox," Marlena fake smiled at me,"That's all I ever wanted from you anyways."
