"I see you have found yourself a human mule," Daryna said to Hanna. "Where is your brother, Gleb?" Walking passed Daryna toward the cabin Gary had to stop and chuckle at Daryna's next comment "OH, the mule has him."

"Gleb needed to learn some manners and how to how to treat a guest!" Hanna snorted at her older sister and smiled at Gary.

Gary set the water down beside him on the driveway's gravel foundation near the front porch " I brought it this far, it's up to you to take it from here." Gary turned to Daryna about two meters from where the axe handle was sticking out of the copping block "where does this young man belong? I will take him there though," Gary smiled gently toward Hanna's elder sister pointing to the cabin.

Daryna had to laugh at that reply about her brother "I'll agree with you that Gleb needed a lesson in manners but our guest is going to have to put up with his crazy antics after my kid brother comes to." Daryna smiled back at Gary "I'll show you to Gleb's quarters." Walking passed Hanna and around Gary, Daryna entered the cabin.

Gary seen the interior of the cabin as quite cozy as he was shown to Gleb's room. Gary carefully laid Gleb on his bed. Gary removed the pillow from beneath Gleb's head and used it to prop up his feet. Gleb sighed a peaceful satisfaction and opened his eyes "you!" His eyes widened "how did you manage to get inside my bedroom?" Gleb asked furiously, sitting up, ready to charge. "Hanna?" Gleb questioned furiously as Gary compressed his open hand into his chest, gently forcing Gleb to lay back down "and the water, is Daryna OK?" Gleb fought against the pressure holding him securely on his bed.

Sitting next to Gleb's bed on a stool that was in his room next to his gaming consoles and television, "everyone is OK and I brought the water here too." Gary smiled at the struggling teen "I'm not removing my hand until you agree to taking some rest. You took a nasty spill by the river today and I am going to be staying for awhile to until you're all rested."

Gleb stared at Gary with a look of horrific fascination and agreed "yes, I have had a lot on my mind lately," explaining to Gary that he was going to fight in the war in two months time "we could use the help around here since mom and dad never made it back." Gary eased up on the boy and sat back "I am still going to beat you up though," Gleb told Gary while lying comfortably on his bed "you just wait, you have to sleep sometime."

Gary laughed and Daryna offered to make him a coffee or tea. Gary asked for a coffee and took a seat at the dining room table. The wood cook stove kept the place at a cozy warm temperature which was well appreciated after the last night and cold swim in the mountain stream. "This is nice" Gary admitted while Daryna steeped Gary a cup of coffee "thank you for your hospitality." Gary accepted the cup of steaming hot coffee.

"OH" Daryna spoke up after steeping her own cup of coffee "I am happy to offer you hospitality" Daryna said before taking a drink of her coffee. "Excuse me," Daryna wiped her face with a cloth "You're welcome, it has been over a year since our parents disappeared and I have had no real contact with anyone from the outside world after that." Daryna explained "You are the first visitor we have had in all this time."

Gary looked around the interior of the home which appeared quite well supplied, "it appears as though you are well supplied with goods." Gary said, questioning "you must have someone who brings you these items?"

Hanna plopped down on the seat next to Gary, grabbed onto his left arm and looked up at him "we refill all of those containers, my mule."

"My name is Gary by the way," Gary chuckled before introducing himself. "My mule is fitting though. I can be just that stubborn at times anyway."

"We grow and our own food and harvest our own teas" Daryna explained "and what we can't grow here we don't need."

Gary pondered his coffee and tobacco habit, asking "can you show me to where I can sleep?"
