I was thinking of ending the book when they leave the prison, after the final attack of the governor. The second book would be called, The Love of A Girl.
And it would be about how Carl needs Hailey and her love to keep moving in this cruel and draining world. But he struggles with keeping Hailey sane after a tragic event occurs.
