Chapter 51

It's morning now and none of us have spoken about last night. Rachael and Randall seemed to be okay. Maybe they have been through that before? I don't know. I've been through many things, but never before have I been almost raped by a man.

We started walking early this morning, and dad says we are almost there. I'm just ready to get there, see if it's for real and not a scam. Hopefully they can help me find Hailey.

|Haileys P.o.v.|

Today we are leaving to continue our journey. Before we go though Carol and Tyresse are getting water for on the road. So, I am watching the kids. We decided to be outside since it's a nice day. James and Mika are playing with her doll and some blocks they found in the house and Lizzy well, she's inside. She didn't want do anything at all besides stay in the old dusty house.
I lay Judith on her blanket, "Guys watch Judith. If anything happens holler. I'm going to check on Lizzy."

I go into the house and into the bedroom where Lizzy was. She isn't in there.
Okay?
I go the the living room and kitchen and she isn't there.

"What the fu-"

I am stopped by a loud scream. I run back outside and find Lizzy, her hands bloody and Mika on the grass taking her last breath.

"Lizzy what the hell!?" She turns around and smiles. I look at the baby on the blanket she seems fine, but where is James...?

Carol, Tyresse, and James,thank God, came running from the field. Once they reach the scene James runs over to me and Lizzy turns to Carol and Ty.

"Lizzy what happened?" Carol asked. "I-I want to show you that she will come back...and play with me."

What in the world?

"I was about to do Judith...t-then James." She stutters.

This poor girl needs alot of help.

Carol steps forward to grab the knife but Lizzy drops it and pulls out a gun.
It seems like we have a bigger problem than we thought. I push James behind me and quickly grab baby Judith. I hold her closely.

"Don't shoot her." Lizzy says. "O-Okay, I want to help you. We can wait for her to turn. I'll even tie her up to the tree with her shoe laces." Carol says.

I can see the fear and hurt in Carols eyes. She's only saying this to calm hee down.

"Okay." Lizzy says. "W-What about Judith?"

"It would be no use. She can barely walk." Carol says. I sigh quietly.

"Now give me the gun and you and the others can go inside and I will handle Mika." Carol says. Lizzy nods and Tyresse grabs the gun from Lizzy and grabs Judith from my hands. James and them walk back into the house, but before I do Carol stops me.

"Can you help me?" She asks. I look in the house then walk to her. "What are you going to do?" I ask her. She grabs the knife Lizzy dropped and stabs Mika in the head.

"We need tie her up." She says throwing the knife in the bushes. "Well, wouldn't Lizzy know she isn't turning?"

Carol sighs. "We will take care of that later." She picks up Mikas upper half and I pick up her lower and we move her to the nearest tree.

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

This is disturbing. Carol takes her shoes off and takes the laces out.

"If we are going to Terminus and it's safe. We can't bring a threat to the people." She tells me as she ties her to the tree.

"So, what are you saying? You're going to kill her?" I asked sorta shocked. Carol walks up to me, "That's exactly what I'm saying." She says before walking into the house. I follow her.
