Chapter 4

I hold Hailey tight as I open the door to her bedroom. She looks at me and places her hand on my cheek as she smiles.

"I want you..." She says putting her finger on my lips.

"To kiss me."

I shake my head and lay her on her bed.

"You're drunk Hailey, you don't mean it." I say tucking her in.

As much as I wanted that to be true I knew it wasn't...she's drunk and didn't mean it.

By the time I was finished covering her up, she was asleep. I sigh as I walk to the door. I look back and slightly smile.

"Goodnight."

Hailey's P.o.v.

A bright light shined on us, as the doors opened. A man stands there with full body armor. We walk in and stand in the lobby thing. I set James down as we began to walk. The man takes off his suit and looks at us.

"I'm Jenner." He says.

"Rick."

"Rick, I would like you and your friends to take a blood test. See if any of you are infected."

Rick nods. We follow Jenner into a lab. After the shots he brings us to the under ground rooms.

"We have books, games, tv. We have a generator, but go easy on it. We also have hot water but please go easy on that too. Split the rooms how ever you would like. At the end of the hall, there's doors. Go through there when you're ready. Dinner should be done shortly."

We all look at eachother as he exits.

"Showers..." Carl says smiling. I smile also.

Yeah I'm happy about the showers but seeing him smile makes me smile.

James, Carl, Sophia, and I are sharing a room.

We walk in and smile.

There's a T.V. and games. James runs to the T.V. and turns it on. He finds a movie. Finding Nemo, his favorite. He puts it on and starts to watch it.

Carl laughs as he watches James. I smile. This is pretty nice.

"Who's getting into the shower first?" I ask.

"I'll go to my mom's room and do that." Sophia says grabbing her clothes and walking out. Carl looks at me and smiles.

"I'll go to my parents room and shower when their done. I'll let you two shower."

I smile at him.

"Thank you." I say. Carl grabs his stuff and heads to the door.

"Anything for you." He says shutting the door.

Anything for you.

I smile as I replay his words in my head.

"Let's go James into the bath."

James gets up and runs into the bathroom. I grab his clothes and walk into the bathroom.

"Remember to wash your hair." I say walking out.

"Done." James says walking out of the bathroom. I laugh as he sits on the couch and continues to watch Finding Nemo. I grab my bag and walk into the bathroom. I lock the door then take off my clothes.
