Crystal POV

"Who the heck are you?" I scream.

"Lux." The voice replies.

"Oh, so now you wanna talk to me? In a normal way? Instead of freaking out and dramatizing how my sister saved your life?" I holler. I don't care if other tributes hear me.

"Yes. I'm sorry. I didn't kno-" He starts but I cut him off.

"Shut it then. I know. She's kinda ermmm, misleading so times. But she doesn't want you to die yet. She wants to drill that those are pure poison. She still cares. You know?" I reply.

Lux maintains his silence and heads back to his sleep.

"What a bastard. Don't wanna be saved next time when you are on Death's door, call me. I'll let you die." I mutter.

I continue staying guard. It's a little like when Carmen used to let me go guard and check for peacekeepers or tattletales that could be near the fence. With the serene sounds and familiar atmosphere, it feels just like hunting. Unlike most of my family, our blood is just like our Grandmother. Our heart quicken not when there's severe injuries on a patient. It quickens in shooting, killing, running, snaring. All these things lead to one word. Hunting.

As I guard, the stars accompany me. We never have stars in District 12. We never. But maybe it's because of my ignorant attitude towards them. I never believed in wish bones or shooting stars or anything about that jazz.

Just then......

Lux POV

Crystal's right there. She's smiling. Actually with pure joy.

I run up to her. But when I try to touch her, its impossible. She just fades away and out of my reach.

She's with another guy. They look to be around their 20's.

She stops the man and walks to a cemetery in District 12. It's nicely built and has only one gravestone in it.

As I walk closer, I see the name. It's mine. But how is this possible?

She tears up and tears fall like rain from clouds. The tears drip all over "my" gravestone and I start tearing up.

Just then, she leaves before placing a flower right on my gravestone. It's a Crystal flower.

I jolt up to see that I'm still in the Games. I'm not dead. I'm not dead. I'm not dead.

I see that Carmen is still fast asleep while Crystal is still guarding.

I can't sleep. I can't sleep. I tell myself.

Just then, I smell a singe of burning.......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crystal POV
I smell it. It's the smell of burning. Just then, I see flames devouring the nearby trees.
"RUN!" I shout. Lux immediately takes off with all the back packs. He runs straight ahead, not focusing on the flames that lick the construction sites wherever we run.
I grab Carmen's two shealths of arrows and sling her bow around my body before I get my knives. I grip onto the sword tightly as its my sponsor gift.
Carmen seems to have detected the danger as she bolts off with the four knives she has with her at all times. She runs a little slower though. I don't blame her. She's injured badly.
She runs back though, to help with the weapons. She slings her bow and her two shealths of arrows and takes off. For a injured person, she sure can run. I quicken my pace. Fear is pumping through my blood.
I won't survive. I tell myself. Even with Carmen lifting off most of the weight of the weapons, my shoulder betrays me. It hurts and aches so bad as I run.
Just as I reach the meadow, I see the full picture. The fire has licked the entire Disricts sceneries. Flames are barely on the meadow. It's burning the grass down. Just like the rebellion, the sceneries are 13. Burned down to the ground.
"So, where do we go?" Carmen asks.
I answer something that I never wished to go to.
"The Capitol."
