"Okay, let's talk then." Erin replied.

"What is this about?" Jay asked

"What happened to you, over there? What's changed?"

"Wha-, nothing. Nothing's changed." Jay shot. "Where did you... Why do you think something's changed?"

"You used to want children. A half a dozen at least. Now you only want the three we have. Did... what's wrong?" Erin asked as a tear fell from Jay's eye.

"While we were over there, they, the enemies, sent some children, maybe 15 or 16, with guns to come and kill us. I, it's my fault those 8 men are dead. I told the men not to kill the children and it backfired. We ended up killing maybe 20 kids. I just..." Jay started

"Jay...," Erin hugged him, "it's not your fault. It's okay. I'm so sorry. You should've told me. I wouldn't have... I'm so sorry." Erin rambled.

"It's just, it made me want to kill myself. I never wanted to have to kill a kid, ever. After that, I wanted to die. I was waiting for them to send more men, just to kill me. But they never did, and then we came back and they gave me a Silver Star because I let 8 men die for a decision I made."

"Jay, it's not your fault. Shit happens. It's in the past, worry about the future, our future, our children's future." Erin started, "we still have one. At least live your life, don't let ISIS win. They wanted you to kill those kids, they wanted you to feel remorse. That's what they wanted. If you give up, they win." Erin comforted.

"So you still want more kids?" Jay asked.

"Yeah," Erin smirked, "I guess."

"Okay," Jay smiled. "You wanna go 'practice'?" Jay implied.

"You mean, you want to, too?" Erin asked.

"Yes, if you do, I do." Jay responded.

Ring, ring!

"Hello? Slow down. What happened? Where at? Chicago Med? How did that happen? Of course, I'll wake her up," Jay pulled the phone down from his ear.

"Erin wake up, we have to go to the hospital." Jay whispered.

"We're on our way, everything is gonna be okay. I'll be there as soon as I can." Jay said.
