"Will! It's your brother!" Dr. Choi shouted.

"Jay? What happened to him?"

"Car accident, only victim." A paramedic informed as they wheeled him in. "Not responsive, open wound to the shoulder and stomach. Possible fractures to wrist, femur and patella."

"Okay. Let's save Will's brother."

"Should we call Erin?" Will asked, sitting by Jay's bed, watching a machine help him breathe.

"I don't know, I heard that they got in a huge fight, possibly 'the fight.'" Natalie explained.

"Jay may never wake up, though. Imagine how Erin would feel. I think we should at least tell her, so that if...IF he dies, she can make amends. And I pray to god it doesn't happen, but I know he can and there is only an 5% possibility of him making a full recovery, with only an 11% chance of him waking up."

"I know, Will. I'm a doctor too." She looked at Jay, his body lay flat and motionless... soulless.

"Erin, I just got a call from the hospital." Voight walked into his living room to find Shay laughing and rolling around on the floor, even standing up and trying to walk but failing.

"Oh, yeah? What about?" Erin asked.

"Jay."

"I don't want to hear about it." She exclaimed.

"He got in a car accident, he's most likely gonna die." He said, expecting a some sadness.

"If he dies, he dies." She said. Her body started shutting down on the inside, but she couldn't let that show. She had to keep it in.

"This will leave Shay fatherless. You know that, right?"

"Yeah, and there is nothing I can do about it, so why do I need to worry. I'm gonna go out and do some shopping, keep and eye on Shay." She ordered.

Although she said she was going shopping, she wasn't. She was going to see Jay. "Don't tell anyone you saw me here, okay?" She ordered Will and Natalie.

"Okay...?" They agreed, kind of.

They left the room as she sat and looked at his lifeless body. "Jay, I'm sorry. But in my defense, you weren't supposed to go get yourself killed. You were supposed to go drink a couple beers and then come and find me and we'd get back together. I'm so sorry," she cried out. "If you die, I know I'll die. Not because I'll kill myself, but because I'll be too heartbroken, because I love you and I do want to marry you, but now that may never happen." Suddenly, his stats dropped and he flatlined. Doctors and nurses rushed in and started CPR.

She was right, this relationship was over, maybe not in her heart, but to him, everything was over... almost.
