Two Weeks Later

I'm pregnant, or it's the stomach flu. Just praying that it's the stomach flu. Please be the stomach flu. Please... Erin thought to herself as she drove to the drug store to get a pregnancy test. She walked through every isle twice but one. She was too nervous, anxious, hell, excited, she just didn't know what she wanted. Finally, she gained the courage to walk down the isle and look at the seven different brands of pregnancy tests. She bought each brand and went back to her house. She opened up all a seven and used all of them. 3 minutes. 3 minutes until her life could change. 3 minutes.

#1 - not pregnant

Her face looked relieved but she had to be sure so she waited for the rest.

#2 - pregnant

She started to worry, but it didn't bother her much because was only 1.

#3 - pregnant

Only two. She thought.

#4 - pregnant

Just three.

#5 - pregnant

Oh god. I am.

#6 - pregnant

She was, most likely.

#7 - pregnant

They could all be false positives, she thought, or maybe the first was a false negative... maybe I messed up. Maybe I did them wrong. How could I mess up? All I had to do was pee on a stick, is that so hard? No. I'm pregnant. Finally she pulled herself out of her mind and thought she should actually find out.

To the hospital she drove, ready to know the actual truth.

"Erin, hey!" Will cheered.

"Hey... Will." She fake smiled. Nervous he'd find out and tell Jay.

"What's up?"

"Oh, nothing. I'm just gonna find a doctor."

"Done, you found one! Me." He smiled.

"No, Will. You remind me of Jay and the heartbreak it was. Just please. Leave me alone right now." Erin complained.

"Okay. Tell me when you're ready to talk to me. I'm always here." Will comforted.

"Okay." She walked away. "Hey, can I get an OB/GYN?" She asked.

"Yeah, follow me." An unknown nurse led her to a  room. "Lay down, someone will be right with you."

Not five minutes later, a different doctor came in. "Hi, Ms. Lindsay?"

"Yes, that's me."

"Hi, I'm Dr. Lance Corton." He stated.

"Hey. I think I'm pregnant."

"Okay. We can run a test. Should take maybe 20 minutes. Do you mind waiting?" He asked.

"Oh, no. It's fine. I have to make a call anyways." She pulled out her phone.

"Voight." Hank stated.

"Hey, I'm not coming into work today. I'm at a...d--" she stopped herself. "Dentist appointment." She lied.

"Okay. That's fine." He hung up, in a rush.

"Okay, we have your results." The doctor came in, 15 minutes later.

"Miss, you do seem to be pregnant. Would you like to have an ultrasound?" Already getting the stuff ready.

"Um. Yeah, I guess." He put the wand on her stomach and an image appeared on the screen.

"It looks like you are about six weeks which means we can hear the heartbeat." He smiled. And turned on the audio. They listened to it for a minute or two before she started to cry and he left the room.

Erin cried and cried and cried. Jay should be there. This was what he wanted, what they wanted together. But now they aren't together so does she still want this. She still had 6 weeks to decide if she wanted to keep or terminate the baby.
