It was a clear August morning. Everything outside was calm. The birds were chirping away their happy little songs. The sun stretched up over the houses on a quiet street. Dew droplets glistened on the blades of grass on the front lawn of Lauren Jauregui's house. It was a two story house and was painted bright white, although some of the paint was chipping in places. From the outside, the house looked peaceful and quiet. The inside however, was a different story.
"Lauren Michelle Jauregui for the fifth time, GET UP!"
Lauren ignored the voice of her mother and pulled the comforter closer to her body. Her summer had gone by too fast, and she wasn't ready for school to start again.
"Maybe she gave up and decided to let me sleep after all," Lauren thought to herself.
But her hopes instantly fell when she heard her door open and felt the comforter being ripped away from her body
"Lauren, if you aren't down stairs in the kitchen ready for breakfast in 30 seconds, you will never see your phone again," threatened her mom.
Lauren groaned and sat up, trying to rub the sleep out of her eyes.
"12 seconds!" yelled a voice from the kitchen.
Lauren instantly picked up the pace and left her room, padding down the stairs into the kitchen. She yawned and grabbed a Pop Tart, the breakfast of champions. She joined Taylor and Chris, her siblings, at the table.
"Look who finally joined us," giggled Taylor. Lauren slapped her arm playfully, laughing too. Her Pop Tart was gone within a matter of seconds, so she got up to go shower.
After a good shower, Lauen looked herself over in her full body mirror. She wore black leggings, a The 1975 shirt, and combat boots. She ran a hand through her dark hair, sighing. This year was going to be tough.
"Lauren, Chris, Taylor! Let's go!" yelled her mom from downstairs. Lauren sighed again, and left her room.
After some quick pictures, all three Jauregui children were loaded into Lauren's car, with Chris in the passenger seat and Taylor in the back. Once the car was parked at the school, all three kids made a B-line for the door. Lauren paused though. Something felt off. She ignored the feeling and kept walking in.|a/n: so i guess this is happening? idrk, i don't expect anyone to read this so if you are, good for you!
