Chapter 12

Lauren had the best sleep in a a long time that night. She felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. After telling Normani, she could sleep easily. She was finally calm. That is, until she woke up.
    Lauren woke up to find Camila still on her chest. Her calm mood shifted to anger. She was angry at Camila for that kiss. It confused the dark haired girl.
    She surveyed her surroundings and noticed the fact that Normani and Ally were awake and on their phones.
    "Looks like a real party in here," Lauren said, making the two jump.
    "Laren, you almost gave me a heart attack," Ally gasped, putting a hand on her heart. Lauren just rolled her eyes. Her friends and their drama.
    "So how'd you sleep?" Normani asked carefully. She remembered Lauren's confession.
    "Pretty good, other than the fact that Camila had her head's full weight on my right boob for half the night," the girl on the couch stated, making the other girls giggle.
    Lauren snuck a glance down at Camila and suddenly forgot why she was mad at her. The gorgeous brown locks were strewn about her face, yet she still looked gorgeous. She was so peaceful and relaxed. Lauren's gaze traveled down to her lips, making her heart flutter. She could kiss her lips for hours on end.
    Then she remembered the kiss, and why she was mad at the girl. Lauren groaned internally. How was she supposed to be mad at someone so adorable?
    "I've got to go to dance in like an hour. Can you supply me with food before I go?" Normani asked, snapping Lauren out of her thoughts.
    "Lazy ass," Lauren mumbled, but got up anyway. At this point she didn't care if she woke Camila up or not. Camila didn't even flinch.
    Lauren busied herself on making breakfast to keep her mind off of the gorgeous brunette in her living room. She plugged her phone into her speakers and put her music on shuffle. It distracted her even more.
    Twenty minutes later, Lauren, Ally, Normani, and even Dinah were packed into Lauren's kitchen. Camila was still not awake.
    "Mani. We can't be late again! I almost got my ass kicked last time," Dinah whined. Dinah went to dance with Normani on most days.
    "Chill! Let a girl eat her waffles in peace," Normani replied and waved Dinah off. Dinah sighed.
    "I'm just going to wait in the car. Thanks Laur, see you Monday," she said and left the house.
    "You should probably go with her," Ally pointed out while shoveling another piece of a waffle into her mouth. Normani pouted and looked down at her waffles, then at Lauren.
    "Just take the goddamn waffles," Lauren mumbled. The dark skin girl engulfed Lauren in a hug.
    "Stay strong, Lo," she whispered into Lauren's ear.
    Ally left shortly after because she was babysitting, which left Camila and Lauren. Camila was still asleep. Laureen collapsed on to the couch next to the other girl.
    Camila's eyelids slowly opened.
    "Lauren?" The mentioned girl jumped in surprise at Camila's voice.
    "Yeah?"
    "What time is it?"
    "Time for you to get a watch." Camila laughed a little before sitting up.But she stopped laughing when she noticed her best friend staring down.
    "Lauren? What's the matter?" At that point Lauren, couldn't hold it in any longer.
    "You! You're the problem! You're the reason I haven't slept since August. You're the thing that I think about twenty-four seven. You're the one that makes my heart flutter when you laugh, or smile, or look at me, or do anything. You're the one that makes me have heart palpitations. You're the one who makes me feel like passing out. If you haven't guessed it already Camila, I have feeling for you. So please, tell me this. Did you not feel anything during that kiss?" It was silent. Camila took in Lauren's words. Lauren sat on the other end of the couch. The tears were rolling down her face freely now.
    Lauren tried to stop crying, but there was no hope at this point. Her heart was surely broken. Camila had no feelings for her what so ever and she just ruined their friendship, which made her cry even harder. Or so she thought.
    She was genuinely surprised when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her body and just hold her. Lauren let it all out into Camila's shoulder for a good amount of time. Camila sill hadn't said anything. So Lauren did.
    "Camila, please. I need you to answer this. Did you-," she started, but was cut off.
    "Yes, Lauren. They meant everything to me. The way you make me feel is indescribable,' she finally said. Now it was Lauren's turn for silence. Her dreams were true. Camila felt the same way.
    "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for me and my stupid feel-," the brunette started, but Lauren cut her off by attacking her lips. It took Camila by surprise at first, but she started to kiss back eventually. It was just a regular kiss to others. But to Lauren it felt like so much more.
    Lauren let out all of her emotions into that kiss. The anger that she felt towards Camila for making her suffer. The burning passion and affection that she felt. The sadness. All of her emotions were let out.
    They eventually broke apart, both now breathing heavily. Lauren looked Camila up and down and bit her lip to try and hold back a smile.
    "What's so funny?" Camila questioned.
    "I can't believe I just kissed you, like on purpose," Lauren replied quietly. Camila blushed and looked. down at the floor.
    "I,uh, have to go," the brunette said. Lauren nodded quietly and lees Camila to the door. Camila started walking when she realized that she was wearing Lauren's sweatshirt.
    "I'm still wearing your sweatshirt," she stated.
    "Keep it, it looks better on you anyway," Lauren said shyly. Camila blushed again before pecking Lauren's cheek and heading down the street to her house, leaving Lauren in a state of shock.
