After the embarrassment of the morning, Lauren wanted to avoid being around other people as much as possible. She and Camila were sitting in the living room, tangled up together on the couch.
"Do you want to go see a movie?" Lauren asked. She was looking up movies on her phone.
"Sure, what movie?" Camila responded.
"Um, let's see. They're showing The Purge, Collateral Beauty, Finding Dory, and-"
"Wait, hold up. Did you say Finding Dory?" Camila asked excitedly.
"Yeah, do you want to see it?" Lauren said with a laugh. Camila nodded excitedly and jumped up off of Lauren to get ready. Lauren found it ironic that Camila was making her scream just two hours ago, and was now excited to see a child's movie. Camila came down stairs wearing a short black skirt and a grey long sleeve shirt on the top. Her brunette locks were freely flowing. She wore little makeup but still looked stunning.
Camila was practically sprinting out the door to the car.
"Baaaabe, hurry up," Camila whined while dragging a giggling Lauren behind her. Lauren loved seeing Camila like that. She couldn't stop smiling. Lauren got into the driver's seat of their rental car and started the drive to the movie theater.
On the way, Lauren placed her hand on Camila's thigh. Very high up her thigh. She just left her hand there and traced shapes on to the skin. Lauren noticed that Camila's breathing faltered and she was finally sitting still. This caused a satisfied smirk to tell on to Lauren's face.
They arrived at the movie theater fifteen minutes later, and Camila was out of the car before Lauren even turned the car off. The cold air hit Lauren as she stepped out and she wrapped her jacket around herself. Camila didn't seem to mind the weather and grabbed Lauren's hand. They ran across the parking lot, hand in hand. Lauren smiled happily at Camila as she ran. She had never felt so much affection for a person in her life.
As they waited in the concession line, Camila laid her head on Lauren's shoulder.
"Tired?" Lauren asked. Camila nodded and closed her eyes. Lauren instinctively placed a kiss on to Camila's head. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that a boy and a girl, presumably a couple, around their age that were staring at them. Lauren brushed it off, she knew that there weren't always going to be people that supported her.
She carried on what she was doing and pretended like the others weren't there. Camila hadn't noticed the couple and turned so that she was facing Lauren and her arms were wrapped around her neck. Camila smiled up at the taller girl.
"Hi, I just want to say that you're really pretty," Lauren giggled. Camila looked down and bit her lip, causing butterflies to shoot through Lauren's stomach. They moved forward a bit in line, and Lauren moved Camila backwards, causing her to laugh. Lauren stuck her lips out.
"Kiss?" She said. Camila smiled a goofy smile and pecked her lips. But Lauren wasn't satisfied.
"C'mon, that wasn't a real kiss," she insisted. Camila smiled again and connected their lips in a longer, more passionate kiss. Camila pulled back and smiled again. Lauren loved seeing her smile.
"Is that good enough for you?" Camila teased. Lauren nodded, but couldn't help look at the two that were looking at her earlier. The girl had the most disgusted look on her face and the boy had the same expression. Lauren couldn't help but feel slightly bothered by it, no matter how much she tried. She looked down at her shoes. Camila knew Lauren very well at this point and noticed that something was off with her.
